I am on T-Mobile's JOD program, and was using the 6+ for about 3 weeks when I preordered the 6s because the size was getting to me, and the one-handed use was not very easy. Of course, over the two week waiting period I got much more accustomed to the larger device. I like the smaller form factor of my 6s, but do miss the larger screen of the plus and battery life. Oh well, life goes on, and my wife was tired of hearing me contemplate size differences! I just hope they improve the ergonomics on the 7+, then I will gladly get the 7s+ in 2 years!

Yeah I think my wife is ready to slap me too lol. My work orders it and we are on a strict 2 year upgrade plan only so I can't try out both and swap.. This is a one and done for me so makes it a bit more difficult.

I have been carrying a note 3 with an extended 6400mah battery and have never had an issue with the phone in pockets. My concern is one handed use and quick texting, not so much the portability in shorts or pants.

If you don't mind carrying a small brick in my pants, you should definitely get the plus.

I never buy the "one-hand use" argument against the 6(S) plus. Unless you want to use your phone while driving (which you really shouldn't), I can't think of a situation when you can't put down whatever your other hand is holding, and use the phone with two hands.

I wish the Plus didn't have so much damn bezel, because it makes it the size of what should be a 6" phone. The battery gains and OIS are definitely worthwhile upgrades over the standard 6S though, and it's still an amazing phone. Having the Plus last year I decided to downsize (but upsize in storage) to the 6S this year. Can't go wrong either way, but do be aware that the Plus is significantly larger and heavier than the standard, which makes it a bit more annoying to carry around, exercise with, etc.

Plus to S Plus

No regrets.

I know I'd be kicking myself if I went with the regular one for same reasons: screen battery and OIS. Considered it briefly

Love the added thickness and weight to the S personally . Feels solid naked and even more snug with my magpul

It's not necessarily that you can't put down whatever is in the other hand, it's just more preferable for me to use it one-handed about half the time. Also, whenever Google Maps starts telling me off stuff while driving I feel more comfortable picking it up for a quick glance if it is smaller than dealing with a larger device; or changing music tracks. Plus, if I'm on break and want to prop up my head with my hand I want to use my phone in the other hand. More comfortable for me that way.

Get a $10 car mount from eBay.

Put the phone down on if you have to use one hand to prop up your head up when sitting down a front of a table/desk.

No wonder your wife wants to slap you...

I'll use my phone how I please. I do have a car mount, I just don't want to use it all the time when I take quick trips to some places. I think you're the one that needs to get slapped. Maybe it would knock some sense into you, since you are arguing over how to use a phone on an Internet forum.

I gave personal reasons I wanted to use a phone one-handed, because you didn't seem to understand why someone would want to.

Well you said in the OP that the Note 3 is too big at times, you can try either iPhone and return/exchange.

When you felt the Note 3 was too big, I guess that did not outweigh enjoying the times it wasn't or you would have dumped it.

As a former 6 user, I regretted not getting the 6 Plus fairly soon after I made the purchase. A few of my friends and even my mom and my boyfriend have a Plus and they all said they loved it so I had major phone envy. Once I heard about the IUP I knew it was time to sell my 6 and make the jump to 6S Plus.

Couldn't be happier! I got into the program and more or less got a bigger/better/faster phone for less than I would have spent on a contract upgrade. Kept my AT&T grandfathered unlimited data plan too.

I love everything about my 6S Plus 128GB SG so far. It's smooth, responsive, and reliable. You also get used to the size really quickly. My hands aren't even huge and I can swing one-handed use.

Maybe I sound like an Apple spokesperson but whatever I'll roll with it. Best purchase I've made in a long time. :)

Funny. You were the one started quoting me because how you disagree with me on the whole one-hand use nonsense.

By the way, please let me borrow your words in my response:

I gave personal reasons I don't believe in using a phone one-handed, because you didn't seem to understand why others would never want to.

Chill out buddy. Enjoy your new phone. I have a 6S, and l really like how it is much easier to handle and carry than my 6+.

I quoted you to let you know my experiences, and give a possible counter argument to your reasoning. Just trying to spread info here and encourage different thought. In both posts I mention how it is a personal preference of mine; indicating my opinion is just that: an opinion. Just got a little bent out of shape because your reply was essentially telling me to just do this and that to make it all better, when it was working fine for me as is, because that's how I prefer it.

I'm glad your enjoying your phone too!

We're not all the same size. Many people won't have one hand use issues with the Plus. Many people won't have issues carrying it in their pocket either.

It's not the size but the weight... Damn if this thing isn't heavy.

The extra weight of the Plus now 'tipped the scale' even more for me. No Plus for me, I had it last go round and it is the overall size of it too.

The Mini 4 is my iPhone Plus now for games and videos.

Get the Plus. You won't regret it! My only concern is going to the gym with this baby but I'll deal with it and figure it out.. ;)

Got the 6 Plus initially last year and while awesome when sitting down and having two hands...it was a PITA to carry and use one-handed. Went to the regular 6 and never looked back.

Decided to try the Plus again initially this year and 2 days in and I'm still not sure. I don't know what it is...just seems heavy for a phone and sticks out of my pocket, I keep dropping it when trying to do about half of my tasks one handed...have another 10-12 days to try it out.

I'm not small either...6'1...it's just not as manageable...but I want to like it. Will post back when I make a final decision :)

I'm a small woman (5'2, barely 95 lbs), and I like all my devices way too large for me to handle

I definitely went plus the first chance I could get last year since that was the one thing I wanted from my iPhone...for it to be bigger. I went with the 6s Plus model this year as well. Although the portability and one-handed use of the 6/6s model is something I find myself sometimes longing for, most other times, I'm super happy with the screen real estate of the Plus.

I generally can't put my larger devices in my pockets (obvi). And when I'm at work and don't carry my bag around, the phone is always in hand. This does get to be pretty annoying. (It's difficult finding places to sit such large phone after grabbing lunch from a food truck lol.) But that annoyance aside, I enjoy the Plus model overall.

I'm coming from a Note 3 with the 6400mah extended Anker battery in a Seidio case, and I've been using a 6s all weekend, with my 6s Plus coming tomorrow.

The 6s is super comfortable to hold, it's pretty refreshing compared to the giant brick the note 3 with the battery is (not that I minded it) Lol I have small hands and can do everything one handed with the 6s. So far I don't find myself missing the larger screen. I do find it harder to type though, even though I can do it one handed, I find the keyboard a little cramped.

I'll update when I get the plus and let you know how I feel after using that. I can see how this is a hard decision for you.

Awesome! I look forward to hearing your thoughts. You are in the exact same boat as me.

Got the standard 6 for myself and my fiancé.
Did the standard 6 last year.
The plus just seems too big to me.
Just my opinion.

Seems that way, until you use the Plus for awhile and then you find it really not that big and bigger screen is just absolutely wonderful to have. But they they make it in two sizes for a reason.

I will definitely update you, I'm looking forward to the plus. One more thing with the 6s... You're going to have to get used to way less battery life. Obviously the Anker battery gives us a huge advantage, but with my usage, I'll be charging twice a day :(

It's not that big. You get used to it. The 6(s) is tiny comparatively speaking.

I have to disagree. I have the iPhone 6S and prior to that I had the iPhone 6. If you feel the size different isn't much, you are wrong. But, it really depends on how you use it. I place my phone in my pocket. I can't fit the Plus into my pocket (and I'm an adult with a serious job, so no I can't wear "cargo pants" or whatever :p ). I know three associates of mine who bought the iPhone Plus. Two of them just bought the iPhone 6S because the Plus was too large. The other one is waiting for the iPhone 7.

Yes, the larger screen is nice. But, people need to realize not everyone's needs are the same. To assume everyone can use or "get used to" the Plus size is very much incorrect. Try walking around all day in a suit or dress slacks with an iPhone Plus. It's uncomfortable and looks ridiculous :p

Well now that you folks have had a day to play, Any regrets on your size? What did you get and are you staying or leaving?

My work is offering me either one and I can't make a decision so hoping you can persuade me one way or the other! Coming from a Note 3... Like it some days other it's too big

I went from a 6 plus to a 6S and couldn't be happier. The size just got on my nerves. In the short time since I've switched the only thing I feel that I will miss is the battery life. Absolutely nothing else. And being able to use the phone one handed and just more comfortable in general feels great. Honestly I went back and forth switching between the the plus and regular this last year. You really have to try them both for a while each. I will say that on the plus I never used the extra software tweaks nor did I have a need for OIS. But that's a personal thing. Hope the helps. Good luck because its a tough decision. Oh and don't listen to anyone that says I'm this short or this tall or my hands are big or small. It doesn't matter.
