The 6S Plus that I got has screen issues, and stock is practically nonexistent right now, so I'm taking the opportunity to exchange it for a 6S and try that out for a few months. When stock and hopefully hardware improves by November or so, I'll probably pick up a Plus. I think they're both nice. Battery is worse on the regular 6S, but I have an Anker 16000mAh battery that I carried with my 6 Plus anyway.

My wife and I are coming from a 5s. My wife knew immediately that she wanted the 6s+. I wavered my mind for some time. I went to Apple store and played around with both phones before deciding to preorder the 6s for myself. I thought the 6 was much more one hand friendlier than the 6+. The few minor differences don't bother me. I have a charger everywhere so the difference in battery life does not bother me. My wife is way more into photography than I am so the OIS benefits her more than me. She does not like to charge her phone so the extended battery life is good for her. The plus is great for her.

It's different for everyone. Everyone's level of comfort is different. Lots of small handed people happy with the pluses.
I am happy with my 6s and she is happy with the 6s+.

Yeah.. It's really tricky.. Took me forever to get used to the 5's new size from the 4S.. And then when I got my 6 last year I thought DAMN that's a BIG phone.. and just couldn't imagine how people could manage the 6+. One hand operation was also still so important to me. But thru last year I really liked having the extra screen real estate especially for reading all the forum stuff. Just hit my 50's - and I like the larger display for reading.

So this year I thought instead of waiting for a redesign in the numbered phone years (as opposed to "S" years).. that I would try and get the feel of a redesign by jumping to plus. Well though I'm really bummed that now one hand operation (typing with thumb only) is gone forever (my sized hands - smallish) I can tell I'm really gonna get used to this screen size very quickly. Even holding my 6 yesterday was like "wow, that's a small-a$$ed phone!" ..

So I have both a 6S and 6S+ here and I'm thinking the 6S is going back in 13 days..

OIS and battery life also became important things to me - and I missed them last year. Prior to jail breaking this battery life is crazy. After an overnight charge I get to the end of a moderate usage day with over 45% battery left (12 hour day).. That's crazy. We'll lose some of that battery life after a jailbreak - we always do. But I'm blown away with the battery difference between my 6 and 6S+.

I am coming from a 5s. Skipped the 6 and 6s and went right to the 6s+!

I wish I would have gone for a MacBook Air 11" instead of 13" when I bought in 2012. I just love how lightweight and compact it is looking at it now. But oh well.

If I were to buy (current iPhone 5 owner) I would opt for an iPhone 6s 4.7"

I'm on the fence. I had a 6+ and ordered a 6S. I like the size of the 6S much better in my pocket, but I certainly miss the better battery life of the 6+. I'm surprised that almost all of the fonts are identical on the apps that I use on the 6S and the 6+. There is little if any difference in readability, just a slight increase in scrolling. But I think I actually prefer the 6+ in my hand as well. If that turns out to be true after a couple of days, the 6S is going back.

I am in the same predicament as you. I called verizon and asked about the possibility of exchanging the 6s for the 6s plus but the 128gb rose gold 6s plus is back ordered now till Nov. 2nd and I only have two weeks to make an exchange so if I do return the 6s for the plus I may be without a phone for awhile.

I got my plus today, I love it !, it's big hence the name but not as big as I thought it would be, fits in my pocket, can use it one handed(mostly) and is stunning to look at ! glad I got it

Absolutely loving my Plus ... I thought I was gonna find it too larger but not at all !! It’s perfect for me

Thanks! Well with our 6400mah Anker batteries, we have been pretty spoiled. Even though this phone weighs a ton now, I'm sure it will be refreshing to get the Plus in terms of weight and size.

So now that it's been about 24 hours with the plus I can safely say that I will be sticking with it.

The battery life is much better than the 6s for me and the screen is really nice. I may have been one of the lucky ones, my plus screen is flawless to my eyes, no pressure points or anything.

I do like the feel of the size of the 6s. I find the plus a little uncomfortable to hold, more so than the note. I'm thinking this is because it's thinner and taller.

I was hoping that the 6s plus camera would be a big improvement to the note camera... Unfortunately, I feel like they're pretty on par. The plus camera might be a touch better, but nearly as much as I'd hoped it would be.

I think also fortunate in that I don't have a lot of lag, like what's being reported in the other thread. I did the move iOS thing, while I do have a bit have of lag upon unlocking, it usually quickly snaps back.

I love how it goes with my rMBP. Everything is seamless. I'm really liking this switch to iPhone so far.

Looking forward to hearing what you think when yours comes in :)

I went from a 6 plus to a 6S and couldn't be happier. The size just got on my nerves. In the short time since I've switched the only thing I feel that I will miss is the battery life. Absolutely nothing else. And being able to use the phone one handed and just more comfortable in general feels great. Honestly I went back and forth switching between the the plus and regular this last year. You really have to try them both for a while each. I will say that on the plus I never used the extra software tweaks nor did I have a need for OIS. But that's a personal thing. Hope the helps. Good luck because its a tough decision. Oh and don't listen to anyone that says I'm this short or this tall or my hands are big or small. It doesn't matter.

Me too! Initially felt like "Oh geez, 6S feels like lightweight toy compared to 6 plus" but after a day of use I am really liking how it sort of fades away in my scrub pocket and my jeans compared to the 6 plus which ALWAYS made the fact I had it evident to me.

I think I will be happy with the switch...Neither device is perfect. The big screen was great as was the battery life, the day to day living with it, not so much.

Thanks for the feedback! It may take some time as it is going through my companies approval, but I will definitely let you guys know how it works out.

I had the 6 for 3 months before getting the 6 plus and have been using it for the past 9 months. I love the screen and the battery life, but in my opinion it is just too big and I wish there was a 5.2"option. The size really annoys me, specially when it's in my pocket... no matter what I'm wearing I'm constantly aware that the phone is there. If I'm wearing jeans (regular, not skinny) I find it uncomfortable to drive or climb stairs with it in my pocket and I pretty much gave up taking it with me to the gym.

That being said, I'm still unsure if I should go for the 6s or 6s+. I'm so used to the plus battery life by now that I can't even remember what it's like to use the regular one. Hopefully they'll figure out how to reduce the bezels and make a decently sized iphone 7+ :)

Well, my company sent me down a regular 6S although I asked for the Plus. Can't complain though because it is a free iPhone. Will let you guys know how it goes!

One day down.... The regular feels super small. Definitely go with the plus if you can if coming from a Note!

Just went from 6+ to now 6S. Sure the battery life is shorter than 6+, but it's still very good.

With my 6+, I typically finished my day with 50% battery remaining. With the 6S, it is now reaching around 20-30% at the end of a day.

An important point to remember is, the smaller battery of the 6S also means faster recharging time. When I need to stay out for a late night, I could do a quick battery "top-up" while I get ready.

To each his own.

I went android years ago for a big phone. Only now would I even slightly consider the iPhone again because of its bigger size, yet my husband?
No way, no way in hell would he. But hed be happier with a rotary anyhow..lol

You are going to buy what appeals to you but I personally could not ever use a small one again.

I'm must be one of the worse swappers about the 6/6 Plus and 6S/6S Plus! I've had a 6 then a 6 Plus back to a 6 to 6S and now a 6S Plus since October 2014... 5 times!

I've had the 6S since launch and just craved for the larger screen, battery and the OIS. Just got a 6S Plus yesterday (Lucky, as they're being snapped up in Hong Kong). Yeah, the size is a tad awkward but I think I've overcomed that finally! Returning the 6S and Apple was really awesome waiving the restocking fee for me too!

Restocking fees?
