The extra weight of the Plus now 'tipped the scale' even more for me. No Plus for me, I had it last go round and it is the overall size of it too.

The Mini 4 is my iPhone Plus now for games and videos.

Oh my goodness it isn't that darn heavy. I am not lugging 2 devices around sorry during the day and while on trips. Oh I wear regular dress pants and my Plus fits just fine in my pocket, so I don't buy that you must wear cargo pants to do so. I've got jeans that I wear on the weekend that the phone fits in the pockets, but I don't wear my jeans skin tight either.

I do agree that Apple should really look at the bezels and you can almost bet on the iPhone 7 that is going to happen.

Overall very happy with the 6s Plus after rocking with an Note 4 for the last year or so. However, get what works best for you. Doesn't matter what I think in your situation, you have to do what works for you. This is why they have 2 sizes. I personally couldn't live with the reduced battery life (been there and done that) never going back.

Like everyone else I was singing the praises of the Plus last year - calling it the 'pro' model...

but after a few months I grew tired of the size and clumsiness, luckily my job gave me a regular 6 to use so I could compare. I didn't miss the real estate or OIS at all, just the battery life...

I'm very happy with my 6s 128 GB, I think they've made a concerted effort to double down and refine the overall platform to accommodate a different usage base (way larger and growing) and a different marketplace...

This is a device I could see myself holding onto for as long as I have AppleCare on it.

Here is something pretty funny. I placed an order for a 6S plus through tmobile on pre order day. 2 days before deliveries I realized they placed an order for the regular 6S. Got it on launch day and I think I'm definitely getting use to it. It is refreshing to use the 6S compared to the 6 plus or 6S plus. After a few days with the 6S, I took the 6 plus out the box and immediately enjoy the "bigger" screen. Not necessarily the resolution of the screen as the 6S looks pretty good to me as well. I can see the difference but it's not dramatic. Since your job is getting it, might as well go big or go home. However, the 6S definitely holds it own. I love the 6S and the plus for what they bring to the table.

I´ve had the iPhone 6 plus for 1 year now, and are really looking forward to DOWNSIZE to 6S. I do love the big screen, good battery life, and the camera. But every night when i go to bed i have from 40%-50% left of the battery. Much thanks to the AppleWatch taking much of the jobs :) My wife has the regular iPhone 6, so i know how it feel. One hand use and the size it self is deal breaker to me. Besides, 4.7" is NOT small at all! :)

I have to disagree. I have the iPhone 6S and prior to that I had the iPhone 6. If you feel the size different isn't much, you are wrong. But, it really depends on how you use it. I place my phone in my pocket. I can't fit the Plus into my pocket (and I'm an adult with a serious job, so no I can't wear "cargo pants" or whatever :p ). I know three associates of mine who bought the iPhone Plus. Two of them just bought the iPhone 6S because the Plus was too large. The other one is waiting for the iPhone 7.

Yes, the larger screen is nice. But, people need to realize not everyone's needs are the same. To assume everyone can use or "get used to" the Plus size is very much incorrect. Try walking around all day in a suit or dress slacks with an iPhone Plus. It's uncomfortable and looks ridiculous :p

I'm a professional that wears dress slacks all day everyday. I don't wear this ridiculous skinny crap though. Maybe that's the difference.

We scored new 6S and 6S Plus, so I have both to use, and so far, it really is a case of:

Better display (overall size, resolution and PPI)
Better battery
Unique operational modes
OIS (haven't really determined the effective difference)

vs.

More portable, easier to pocket
Easier one handed use

When you're dealing with this scale, i.e., handheld devices, every tiny difference counts, "on paper" it's 4.7" vs. 5.5", the effective difference is notable.

That being said, at this point, I'm putting way more value on the perks of the Plus.

It is ridiculous that folks will not admit the size and weight of the Plus. It is impossible not to notice it in pockets, especially dress clothes. It is a concession at best, I did it last year and accepted the trade off the Plus offered versus the smaller 6. But I knew the Plus was there in my pocket every minute, are these folks taking hallucinagens or something? :)

I'm so in the same boat. Love my 6 but have ordered the plus(didn't get it on launch day but that's another story)
I'm a shirt in tie guy for work. Can the plus fit easily in work trousers ?
Can you take the plus out of your trouser pocket, unlock it and check a text all one handed?
Can you walk the dog on a lead and send a text with the other hand?
Can you have a coffee on one hand and browse with the plus with the other hand?
Can a plus owner please answer these first world problems for me!!

I had the 6, got the plus and regretted it, big and cumbersome for me . . . all my friends who bought the plus did so because they thought bigger screen meant they may not have to wear reading glasses. I just got the 6s and I'm happy with my phone again.

#1: Most guys I've seen with larger phones do the holster/belt clip option

#2: Yes

#3: It can be cumbersome; please use a case

#4: Yes. Although again, can be cumbersome.

No way I'm ever going the holster/bet clip option!
I'm more worried about night time/weekend when I wear jeans. The 6 is fine, fits all pockets. I don't want to spend hand my time worrying if my phone is ok. Then again I do want the bigger phone.
Driving me nuts!

Haha! I don't blame you in the slightest (re: holsters & belt clips)

I think guy jean pockets are okay for the Plus. I'd imagine that you'd be okay mostly. I think portability may be okay for you overall. However, ease of use in terms of one-handed operation may be what takes the most time for you to get use to.

I wear mostly suits, but also business casual with trousers. I also travel weekly. Frankly, I found the 6+ too large to wear in pockets and challenging for one-hand use (I have big hands). It's size was always more of nuisance than dealbreaker. Prior to the 6+ I had the Note 4, Note 3, and all previous iPhones, so I have experience with phones big and small. I especially liked the screen size and battery life of the 6+ and all of the larger phones I've owned. With that being said, I appreciate the size of the 6s I purchased. Outside of less battery life, I don't feel like I made a compromise with the 6s. It works best for my needs so far, but everyone's needs are different.

I went with the 6+ last year, and love it. The only downside is that some of the photographic cases like the Optrix and such are 6 only. I went with the 6+ as an option for travel, I can leave my iPad at home.

Welp, I sent in my request this morning for the Plus version. I think I am very OCD on battery life, so believe the Plus version will be the right decision. If I can handle the Note 3 for two years, I can handle the Plus for two more years.

Thanks for all the help here guys. I'll report back my opinions after I receive it and a couple of weeks of use.

If you're OCD on battery life you made the right choice. Not impressed with the 6s battery life at all. I find myself trying to avoid using the phone because it drains too fast with my usage. Looking forward to the plus being delivered today :) hope you like your plus!

Thanks! Well with our 6400mah Anker batteries, we have been pretty spoiled. Even though this phone weighs a ton now, I'm sure it will be refreshing to get the Plus in terms of weight and size.

That's exactly the problem Lol I'm sure the plus will be much lighter.

I had the iPhone 6 previously and upgraded to the 6S Plus. The battery life is phenomenal, the screen and camera is amazing. Landscape is useful. Overall I have absolutely no regrets

Those of you who talk about getting both phones in for a trial. How do you do that with your accounts? Do you get one of them on a new line then with the intent to return in 14 days? Has anybody successfully done this and had no problem from AT&T employees?

If the 6s plus had no bezel, it would be the perfect size. Hopefully the 7 does this

This is exactly why I can't do the plus. I had the note 3 recently, nothing was wrong, just want the iOS ecosystem. I did experience the 6+ and I love the battery life and screen, but the bezels kills it. So I will roll with the 6s in a few weeks.

I'm in Canada, I had to buy them both totally outright. I bought the 6s for my mom, she let me use it all weekend because my plus was delayed

I'm coming from a Note 3 with the 6400mah extended Anker battery in a Seidio case, and I've been using a 6s all weekend, with my 6s Plus coming tomorrow.

The 6s is super comfortable to hold, it's pretty refreshing compared to the giant brick the note 3 with the battery is (not that I minded it) Lol I have small hands and can do everything one handed with the 6s. So far I don't find myself missing the larger screen. I do find it harder to type though, even though I can do it one handed, I find the keyboard a little cramped.

I'll update when I get the plus and let you know how I feel after using that. I can see how this is a hard decision for you.

The note 3 was the best phablet experience for me and I just returned it back on Saturday because I will upgrade to the 6s myself in a few weeks. I like Apples ecosystem.

Anyways, the note 3 bezels made it more tolerant to deal with. The 6+/s bezels is just too long.

You having that extended battery made it a brick, especially with that seidio case. The Plus I have to get a slim case just to keep some type of slim form. If you compare the Note 3 without the extended battery, vs the 6 Plus/S+, I promise you the comparison would be much different. The note 3 is slimmer. Saying that, the 6s will be lighter anyways because its just a smaller phone compared to the 3.
