Oh, I do have one question . . . do any of you (when in mail) and are opening a message have any kind of flickering on the screen for a second when in transition from messages list to the actual email? Mine has done it a few times, but it only occurs in mail, so I'm guessing it's just a bug in iOS 11.1
[doublepost=1509734073][/doublepost]Found something new (to me at least). . . the iPhone X when on battery power doesn't send your photo's to iCloud unless you click resume at the bottom of your library.

So far, with super limited use, I like it. The keyboard seems a bit smaller, but that could be me. I'm happy it is shorter.

In love. Don’t get me wrong, the 7 Plus is one of my favorite iPhone’s, but the X is a perfect size. I was worried I couldn’t overlook it before, but now I am very content with what I have.

Played with an X in my local Apple Store today, I've have 6 Plus and 7 Plus. I think the X is gonna be the sweet spot in terms of phone size and screen size, I think Apple will probably believe that so much so that they'll release it as the only size next year. I think those calling for an X Plus are telling themselves they need a larger phone than they really do. I have large hands (which is why I use a Plus because regular is too small) and the X would be more than usable.

Are there tabs in landscape view in Safari on an iPhone X? I really enjoy the tab bar on my 7+. Need to be enabled in preferences -> Safari

I will be picking up a iPhone X in about a month or two. Replacing my launch day iPhone 6 so I’m very use to a plus size iPhone, which I love.

I’m sure I will enjoy all the newness of the iPhone X and it’s technology but I may be disappointed by the size.

Not sure why this responded to this post. Sorry

It happens at the top of the screen where the ALL INBOXES is as that part is shrinking down to display the email "from"
Yes I have experienced this once

Color me confused. The specs from Apples website clearly show it's both wider AND longer.

It's the update they issued earlier this week. All these phones were already boxed and on their way.
How are they counting the notch in the screen size?

One thing I miss is landscape on the home screen. I'm thinking they could've enabled it in this device.

I can definitely tell it’s narrower than my 7+. And sort of miss the wider screen.

I’m also encountering more typos because of the narrower keyboard and my fingers being used to the 6s+ and 7+

Total screen area is smaller than a Plus device. I'm returning the X and sticking to my 8 Plus. Hoping for a 6" plus size next year.

But you can't unlock your iPhone X with Face ID if you hold it wrong (in landscape).
[doublepost=1509738990][/doublepost]No one is able to look 1min at Safari, if there is a tab bar shown, when enabled in Preferences -> Safari??

Here, for reference:

No tabs in safari, no landscape on launch. I love the phone , the X has a great feel to it and the build quality is top notch. The face ID works super well. I just don't know for sure right now if I can be without my PLUS. I just like landscape mode a lot, and didn't realize how different it would be. Surfing in general is just different. Very nice, very clear but different.

ive owned the last two iterations of the plus, love the size, but I’ve transitioned to the X, which I am hearing is noticeably smaller in screen real estate, so I’m wondering how the transition feels so far?

My X is on the delivery truck as I type so I can provide my two cents later, but curious to get feedback from those that have already been lucky enough to use their new toy.

Kind of sucks, but the X is an awesome little phone. For a non plus user it's a substantial upgrade, but for a plus user it's somewhat of a downgrade. Screen is noticeably smaller, most non apple apps scale to regular iPhone 8 size until updated, face ID kind of sucks, and you lose all the landscape abilities of the plus phones. Plus things like 16:9 video gets letterboxed and ends up being the same size as the iPhone 8. Like I said, it's a nice upgrade for the non plus users only.

Still, I'm committed to forcing myself to use it and hopefully next year we get a X-plus. But when the X is in my hands I'd say every other thought I have is to give it to my wife and get a 8 plus.

Thank you! I also have this feeling, that landscape mode will be too restricted for me, because I really like landscape mode on my 7 Plus. But the X looks really nice and compact in photos. Tomorrow I'll see it at the Apple Store, then I decide if I cancel my order or not.

I know its been only half a day with the X but so far my initial impression is its a step back coming from a plus user. Something about it just isn't clicking with me. I am not seeing the screen as that big of an upgrade over the plus and at the same time your sacrificing screen width. Although the screen width difference is small, it is definitely noticeable when your used to looking at the plus. I think if they brought a plus version of the X that would have been better suited for me. I might give it another day or so to see if I can adjust before returning the phone.

Cons

It's noticeable to me the screen width is narrower.
I miss the plus apps. On the Plus, hold the phone horizontally and notes and mail shows you the folder list and better view of mail. That's now gone :(
