Man I am ready for this jailbreak. I've been jailbreaking iPhones since the original, what would make this the most amazing jailbreak yet? All the tweaks that are there for A4 devices will be here when we get JB for A5, so what would be different?

Maybe its an unlock plus jailbreak? Or maybe they found a way to downgrade firmware. So in case we do have to restore we can get back to 5.0.1 Just a though. I am so ready for it also. Been checking the computer all day hoping to see it was released. I have a good feeling tomorrow is the day. Cant wait to see

You guys think it would be advisable to wait a few days after jb release to run it? I don't want Cydia to miss any packages and run into any issues...

Just reading thru some threads here and got to thinking. There is a lot of hype surrounding this JB, probably the most hyped JB ever. Does anyone think that MN might be a reason for holding it back? Not out of spite but due to the fact I'm sure he'd like to release a update for ultrasn0w to be compatible with the 4S BB? Not knocking MN at all, just thinking of it as a "I want this to be the be all, end all JB" kind of situation?

If the first couple of BB for the 4S aren't unlockable(unofficially) that the iPhone 4S would be the first iPhone ever to be released without a proper unlock? Just taking shots in the dark here. Still have TONS AMD TONS of respect for MN and his crew.

If I were you, I would JB ASAP. You never know when apple puts out that patch and your window is borked. Unlikely for at least a week or two but always possible.

What do you mean? Like apple releasing 5.1?

it's possible Apple is waiting for the jailbreak to drop this is why pod2g said to go 5.0.1 now for the jailbreak. catch 22 is the unlock is recommended for 5.0 at the moment no details on that jailbreak or unlock though at the moment.

If he's on 5.0.1 then why would it matter? As long as he doesn't update to 5.1 then he should be fine.

I actually didn't know. Either way, it's entirely possible that apple is simply waiting on the JB To drop, then they release 5.1/5.0.2 and millions update and them realize they can't JB.

Hate this cat and mouse game but we really have no choice.
Just stay connected and hope to catch the JB when released.

Thing is if apple already closed the exploit then neither of them are waiting on each other .

Probably more coincidental that the 2 seem somewhat aligned but we know why its taking pod2g and crew more time,it is all the testing for stability for our sakes because we cannot downgrade/rollback etc etc.

Some of the rampant speculation going on here is good reading though :)

This A5 jailbreak is quickly becoming the most amazing one yet!!!

So far the most amazing one is jailbreakme.com, I was laughing my ass when people went down the applestore and jailbreak their display model.:D

Any guess of what it is?

Yes there will be some people who update then realize they can't jailbreak but that's why you have to do your research.

Why do you and Ksizzle9 seem to think you have to do this as soon as it's out. What's the rush? Just don't update to 5.1 and then you can take your time and jailbreak when you want or a few days after when things have calmed down. Am I wrong?

Nope you aint wrong chances are servers will be packed anyway

as long as you don't update you can wait as long as you like a day, week, month even a year. When it's released there will be a ton of people complaining cydia crashed repos down etc. Happens every time cydia just can't handle that initial jailbreak update wave. You can also just jailbreak and wait to install Cydia packages. ;)

Chris packages?

This feels like when iPad 2 4.3.3 was being talked about. I was already convinced it was not going to happen and then BAM it was released...I need to stop checking this forum! Going crazy, but it'll be awesome once it's out!!!:)

What would make you think today is a no go?

I could be wrong, but I think pod2g is French. That means Sunday is already half way over. Also, I think he has to pass the components over to Chronic dev and I'm not sure if that has happened yet? I could be wrong just wondering!

I'm thinking that the components have already been passed to chronic Dev team. From some of posixninja's tweets the other day it seemed like they were in the testing Phase of the JB. I would take that as a sign that chronic already has it, however I could be completely wrong.
