You have a point. An activist named Dan Bull has tried to bring the attention of SOPA and PIPA to Europe.
IIRC the US govt. has been threatening European countries w/ trade embargoes for not instituting similar laws to SOPA.
Of course I could be wrong - that could have been a hoax because I couldn't find a verified source. But SOPA/PIPA is absolutely a threat to every citizen that uses the internet, whether they are US or not.

An embargo would be harmful for both parties if it were the US versus the entire continent of Europe. Highly doubtful whatever you read was true.

If the tool needed to put all of this together isn't finished (per planetbeing's tweet 6 hours ago), there is no way it will be ready TODAY; especially if you take into account testing it and making it idiotproof. To be honest, you will be kidding yourself to think that that will be done in less than a day's time.
I still say this weekend or shortly after; but definitely NOT today.

i hope so.. i take it with a grain of salt because some bloggers post things without verified info. But I also don't put anything past the US govt. Our lawmakers don't always have our better interests in mind. LOL

Which is even more firepower as to why it would have been awesome and a great F U if they were able to push it out the door today.

Well, if iPhone Dev team is Redsn0w, and Chronic Dev team is Greenp0ison, then I suppose it makes sense that if both teams are working together, then the new JB should be something new so that one side's software doesn't get more prestige over the other.

Yes like a previous poster i am going to be a immature child for a second...I really hope it is released soon because I can not take this let down night after night, its KILLING me....I really feel that if it turns sunday and we don't have it then something else is going to be posted on twitter from one of the devs on how its going to be JUST a few more...I wish they would just stick to there rules about no eta's or if they are going to give eta's let us know whats up when they don't hit them. I wasn't even close to this on edge the first 3 months....and I have had the 4s since the release day.

I just cant bring myself to complain about something so many people are working hard to achieve and on top of that is free ...
I want it as bad as the next guy but if it has to be another week then so be it.
All you guys who are dying and are putting your lives on hold till the Jailbreak hits seriously need to jump to Android phones so you can have peace of mind almost out of the box .

I can't say I'm putting my life on hold for the jb, but I do have to say from using both android phones and iPhones (stock and jb) that there's a major difference between a jb iPhone and an android phone. I love iOS's design and Apple's form and function to the point where I don't know that I can handle an Android device.
However, there are a few jb tweaks that I'm just dying to have, therefore I can't wait until this is released. I'm not looking to change the whole UI...just tweak it a bit. A jailbroken iPhone > Android in my opinion.

Had I not sold my unlocked and jailbroken 4, I would have piece of mind right now and could wait without anxiety. I didn't need the money, just didn't have any need for a mint 4 to lie about the house. Boy did I learn a valuable lesson selling that phone, what an idiot I am. After yesterday, I think the entire JB community thought they would have a 4s JB today. Maybe tomorrow
