I said the WRONG because people always take the attitude that its FREE.. everything is free... pirate iphone apps through installous because they are free... well.. stuff that is really free doesn't last very long, gets literally consumed and i don't want to wait 4 months for a jailbreak. The only way i can contribute to the jailbreak is: 1) if i donate 2) spread the notion that a donation is REQUIRED.

People do things with love and art, but not for the love of art.

Listen i understand everything you are trying to say about donations and all that Jailbreaking gives people but this was not the place for that .

We were only discussing why the developers do not owe us any ETAs .

You turned that whole thing into a rant about why people should donate which has nothing to do with what i said.

Some devs want/appreciate donations while others do not want them at all.

Start a new thread encouraging people to donate if you truly feel that strongly about the lack of people wanting to donate.

Sad to say it but I agree............ We've already known its almost coming or just about ready but telling us "not much more to go" should mean today.

Whether it be 30 minutes or 9 hours. It should be today.
 
I would much rather wait and get a stable JB then have them rush out
an unstable JB just to please the masses. These guys have been working
there asses off on this JB and we should all just be grateful that they are
even putting there time in to do it.

The one good thing to come out of all these JB is that Apple has incorporated a lot of the features we have asked for. This makes waiting a little easier to bear. A JB iPhone is still much nicer but the gap has grown much smaller
over the years.
 
I don't remember any of this stuff when Comex was working on the JB....He never gave any ETAs and although it sucks its better than getting let down every other day by hearing its "almost" done. We have been hearing that for 2 weeks now. I don't know I'm just tired and cranky, sorry. I think ill be taking a nap also after this JB
 
...It would've been better if he would've said nothing at all & let us all speculate until there was something concrete.

It's like seeing a preview for a movie that doesnt come out for another year. Sure, you're building anticipation, 11 months in advance. :mad:

People complain when they don't hear nothing from the dev team, and when they say it's almost done people still complain. It's a no win situation.

Most people here aren't complaining about it taking too long, just that it's frustrating when they say stuff like "not much longer" or posting a picture and saying "no more to say" which is very vague and gets our hopes up and surely they know that.

iOS is still the same old boring OS. Fluid, yes. But there's still a huge gap between what JB allows iPhone users to do and what iOS has. I've been finding nice wallpapers to use on my retina display (used to have the 3GS) but everything looks stupid with that hideous clock on the lockscreen and the archaic slider.

Wrong. We understand theyare working on it. All we ask for is an estimate or something close. saying "not much longer" is like saying "well, when is the apocalypse". You dont know it's coming, but it is.

All hard work aside, it's probably better for them to keep hush and live with people asking questions then to rush an answer.

Especially after a trial and error like pod had when he said "this week", and welp... :cool:

I can't speak for everyone but i know I wasn't like this October, November and December. And thats because they weren't dropping hints like it was going to get released any day now. But i understand what you mean whereas most people complain no matter what

I'm pretty sure there aren't "donating portals" for other members. Only Pod2g because he set up a paypal (since he deserves it as it's his exploit).

I'd donate to others too if they let us know how, since the dev and chronic dev teams as a whole usually don't take donations from what I understand.

This is a good question to pass the time. :D

I've always used LockInfo in the past and love it. But I'm intrigued by everyone talking about IntelliscreenX. If you've used both, which do you prefer and why? I believe both are iOS5+ compatible now, correct?

It's a fine line because if they say nothing people will get upset and if they say anything people will hold them to each word. It would suck for us but it's probably better if they didn't say anything at all until it was released. That way nobody would get there hopes up and would be excited when it did happen.

I agree 100% with you. However the gap has grown smaller and hopefully it keeps getting smaller because these JB's are taking longer to implement. Honestly my favorite tweak is fakeclockup. Phone feels slow without it!
