We've become spoiled

I think the difference this time is Pod2g created a blog detailing his jailbreak as opposed to the past of just saying we may have something and not much else is given to us.

We've become accustomed to receiving feedback and updates on a normal basis so we created our own anxiety. I will say they are damned if they do or don't but the only difference is that we've had that inside glimpse.

While I would like for it to come out I'm just not sure it is today. The good thing is tomorrow is Friday so ill be out at a lounge tomorrow and drinks and games with the girlfriend Saturday.

This is a good question to pass the time. :D

I've always used LockInfo in the past and love it. But I'm intrigued by everyone talking about IntelliscreenX. If you've used both, which do you prefer and why? I believe both are iOS5+ compatible now, correct?

I have lockinfo a try but then I ended up buying ISX. I hated how notifications were grouped in LI(other than phone/SMS etc) while they had their separate headings on ISX. Being able to check mail, facebook and twitter all from my lock screen was also a big reason I picked ISX. I tried using LI for lock screen and ISX for everything else but I didn't like using both simultaneously but I know others do and like it.

Thanks, 3bs. I'll have to give ISX a try once this jailbreak drops on us. I appreciate the help!

LockInfo >>>>>>>>>>> Intelliscreen

I have been on this forum when apple launches new products this JB thread has as much anticipation as some products do.

I think that's because the 4s is pretty weak without the JB, and the 4s owners are getting sick of having their phone that they paid for, (not borrowed/rented), locked to Apple i-tunes!

How much $$$ do you think pod2g and the rest of the guys are going to get via donations for this? Just curious

Also. What's better? Five icon dock or infinidock?

I like Infinidock better, myself. I tend to put folders in the dock to the right where they're out of sight, out of mind. And while Five Icon Dock is great, there are other tweaks that have this and many more built into them (in other words, you just need that one tweak "package" rather than Five Icon Dock which only accomplishes just that one thing).

I'd buy them all a pizza and a six pack if they could get this done by tomorrow.

I meant how much $$$ in TOTAL donations do you think the guys doing the jailbreak are going to get ;)

Comex got around $40K for his Jailbreakme 2.0 JB
I think since this one will target all 4S devices and ipad 2 models will get $60K+

Perfect answer to my question, thanks Applejuiced :)

Are you talking about different Dev members involed? There are only a couple people that take donatains. People like musclenerd do not!

Impractical question but exactly how many pages of apps do you guys use on your mon jailbroken phones vs jailbroken? Being non jb I try to stick as close to stock as possible without the folders but I hate the 4x4

Stock limitation of only 12 apps per folder is why I haven't even bothered creating folders. The number of Apps I use is not going to change after I jailbreak, but, the way I organize them will. I like clean looks.

...It would've been better if he would've said nothing at all & let us all speculate until there was something concrete.

It's like seeing a preview for a movie that doesnt come out for another year. Sure, you're building anticipation, 11 months in advance.

I know what you mean and ironically, your metaphore fits perfectly with a new trailer for resident Evil: Retribution that came out today and the movie won't be out for almost a year. Milla Jovovich has been tweeting video's and updates during the whole shooting of the movie, which has been cool, but now having to wait 10 months or more to see the movie is not fun.

Link to trailer. And yes, it starts out like a regular commercial... http://t.co/sAF0ggd2

He deserves every single penny IMO.
When it comes out we should all kick in something. Even if its $5-10 or so.

Agreed. I really want these guys to get rewarded for working hard for the benefit of the community. Hope they get enough satisfaction / respect earned from others / donations to make it worth it for them to keep coming out with jailbreaks in the future :)

Wow... musclenerd just became my personal hero for the work he does to benefit the community without pay

Who should I donate to then when the jailbreak comes out?

Only one I knew so far taking donations was pod2g but I'd like to give all of the Dev guys $10-20 for their hard work.
