pod2G's untethered jailbreak released

issues with untethered jailbreak
o.k., I am on iphone 4 with 5.01,jb with redsnow and semi-tethered.From what I understood fromthe Dev team blog, you could re-jailbreak over this install, just uncheck cydia.The JB seemed to go fine.However, SB settings and all jailbroken tweaks, such as barrel, didnt appear onthe phone, eventhough cydia said they were installed.I reinstalled them, still to no avail.
Now the phone is stuck on apple logo, will most likely have to full restore.

I just sync'd to itunes and backed up my ip4. I then upgraded to 5.0.1 and although the phone has been retored via itunes it is missing several apps, including some jailbroken apps. My previous teme etc is gone, as are my contacts and my photos.
Where can I search on my computer to fine the itunes photo library, and is the upgrade worth it as Im considering going back to 4.3.3

iBooks always has problems with Jailbroken phones. There is a hack that has been developed to allow iBooks to work on iOS 5 jb, they are just cleaning it up a bit before release. You will have to wait a little bit, and you will be able to d/l from cydia.
Jailbroken apps/tweaks/settings are not backed up. You have to use special "cydia backup apps" or you will manually have to re-download the tweaks and themes that you want.
Obviously this is great progress. I have just updated to 5.0.1 on my iP4S in preparation for the A5 jailbreak - can't wait!
Ah okay. I thought the Update #17 from http://blog.iphone-dev.org/redsn0w-iOS5 that contains an iBooks fix would be included in this jailbreak. But obviously the fix wasn't compatible.
There is a workaround on cydia called "iBooks Fix for iOS 5" from xsellize repo. It does not allow syncing of books through iTunes and needs to be done manually via iFile. Also, it will not sync bookmarks and page locations between devices. But you can read books fine on it.
Thanks! Since those sync functions are marginal at best on 4.3.3 jb between my iPad 2 and iPhone 4, I can live without them. I just need to read books.

Now,Finally I will upgrade my 4.2.1 to 5.0.1. Can someone tell me how to do upgrade and jailbreak without upgrading the baseband? Should I just use the redsnow? will it create a customer firmware?
