Touch ID has been great for me. I enabled it the day I received my iPhone. It can be a pain sometimes, but that's rarely the case.

It is fantastic.
It works 90% of the time on first attempt! and it is much better than my previous 6 digit code.

You forgot one option. NO, I CANT use touch ID because my 650 dollar phone is in a lifeproof case". Add that option and you got one vote for it.

Lol :D

It's one of the main reasons I purchased the phone! I get work emails on my phone and because of that their is more security on the phone such as 6 digit passcode. And ohh how annoying is it to punch it in everytime I want to get into the phone.

It's a pain in the backside sometimes. I have to keep my hands dry and my home button very clean for it to work all the time.

I'm another one who enabled it from day 1 & but for one (very) shoprt period, it's never been turned off. Given that I can use it in so many other aspects now (;)), it's even handier than ever.

I am curious to find out if others are using the TouchID passcode option after all these months. I tried and tried to use it, but found it very frustrating.

I wish there was an option for a time-delay when using fingerprint security.

I had to delete all my saved finger prints and start over. The damn sensor wouldn't recognize my prints after a few months of using it.

Working great for me now, had a problem when i got it but think it was due to a skin problem, now it is great. Obviously if fingers are damp it doesn't.

It works great. I never used a passcode before, so I kept turning it off for the first couple weeks, but I found it is actually more convenient to use it than slide the screen, or god forbid, use a passcode :)

Touch ID, for me, has been fantastic. Since I've had my 5s on launch day "try again" has only been displayed twice.

I use it multiple times each day. The only thing I don't like about it, is that it isn't on my ipad.

I have never locked my iPhone and see no need for it. All sensitive data is keep in Keeper, an incripted vault. I do not leave my phone laying around for someone to steal.

Useless feature for me

All of my money and valuables may be in a safe, but I'll still lock the front door when I leave the house....especially when it takes the same amount of time to unlock it.

I've had it on since day one and it works perfectly. I use my old 4s as an iPod and it frustrates me now not being able to just get in with putting my finger on the home button. It's so quick I never really notice a time delay. Maybe once every couple weeks I'll get a "try again" but it's ALWAYS because of my finger being wet or greasy or something of that nature.

Other than when I have very dry or wet fingers, touch ID is great.
The thing I learned about the sensor is that the angle of your thumb is important.

Touch ID is so great that I honestly don't want another phone without it. Sounds like an exaggeration, but the convenience factor to me is worth that much.

I'm with you, thelookingglass. I wish all my gadgets had touchID. How awesome would it be to have touchID on a tv remote to keep others from changing the channel? Lol

I lock my front door, too. But still see no need in passwording my phone. So waht if it is stolen. I go buy another and move on. And the figer print sensor is not as dependable at times and I simply see no need:p

Even with it on if you swipe left you can enter the password to your phone.

That's what I end up doing a lot of the time. However TouchID is supposed to work...

If it's stolen and has no code, people can make calls that you end up paying for until you report it and the phone is blocked.

used to use it -then it started working less and less (winter fingers?). I'd redo the fingerprint and it would work for a few days and then stop.

Also the requirement that the lock happens immediately drove me crazy. I was trying finger and entering password all the time. I'd like to have the options of how long to lock as there is with the normal passcode.

I don't use it anymore. It was a fun feature but since I still have to enter numeric passcode, I might as well use the numeric method.

I keep a lot of personal data on my iPhone ....
