Will you switch to the iPhone?

Now the question seems to be would you switch operator to use the iPhone?

I wouldn't switch for a while because it'd cost loads to terminate my 3 year contract that's 5 months old. And unfortunately Bell is CDMA so I doubt I could get it anyways. And even if I could I don't have a hardware upgrade discount so I'd pay Bells insane no-contract price.

I think it was too early for this poll. Even if we knew for sure that the iPhone even exists (which we don't), we have no idea of features or price.

I only said maybe because I don't know what networks it will work on or how much it will be. If the low-end $249-299 one is true and it's sold unlocked, probably yes.

as long as i dont have to switch providers, and its sexy like everything apple makes!

In my opinion, Windows Mobile is the best OS Microsoft has ever put out (definitely better than the Symbian and Palm systems that I used to use), so I will be OK while I wait another year and a half until my T-Mobile SDA contract expires. When that happens, I'll definitely take a good look at an Apple phone and probably get one. An iPhone probably will have some of issues in its initial run anyway, so I won't feel like I'm missing out in the meantime.

I agree with most of your comment, but respectfully disagree about the "better than Palm". Having used both (and actually currently using an x50v), I can say that the Palm is more reliable and crashes less often. Definitely. Even though I find Win Mob. has more and cooler features, I wouldn't necessarily give it the one up - it really depends on the user. If oyu just want to plan and store dates/contacts, I think Palm wins, their OS is more stable. For internet browsing though, hands down, the x50v is incredible because of the VGA screen!

About the Apple phone (if there is one)...it seems like a cool idea, but there was a lot of hype with the Rokr and it turned out to be abysmal! (I acknowledge that it wasnt made by Apple, though). If there is such an iPhone, and it has the same iPod aesthetic and feel, then it will be a huggggge hit! Not sure if I would trade my Razr in though, it's pretty new lol.

If it was a true smartphone, capable of using existing reference software (I'm in the medical field) as well as the music/photo capabilities wrapped up in true Apple style ... then yes, I may just feel the need to exercise my line of credit a little more ...

I hope they don't try to puch .Mac on us to use with it for email features. Even if they made a push type email system and had it compatible with .Mac, I still wouldn't do it.

I voted Yes, but my only hope is that the form factor can meet or beat what's already out there. Something one inch thick might change my mind. :(

I'll do it if they make an MVNO, but I won't otherwise. Speaking of, I'm assuming you can indeed port your number from, say, Verizon, to an MVNO?

I will only switch if it meets the things i listed below.

1- Be able to work in my country.
2- Be at least as good as my current phone.
3- Looks like an apple product.

Nope. I don't feel like spending money on a new phone. I already have my Moto V3i which can play music. Granted only 100 songs but it's enough for a phone. I'll use my iPod for music.
