Only if it's unlocked. I hope they eventually release it unlocked alongside with the Cingular one. I have an account with every major carrier BUT Cingular. Plus, I want something that I can pop a foreign SIM into when I go abroad.
Beautiful piece of hardware incorporating innovative technology with many possible day to day applications, overall a great concept.
I'll consider purchasing it when the 2nd or 3rd gen comes out, some of the hardware and software bugs have been worked out and the price drops.

No carrier is allowed to sell the iPhone until 2009. Screw the iPhone, I'm sticking with RIM.

I go overseas once in a while, and I use T-Mobile and it would cost me a fortune to switch to Cingular since my parents are paying for a family plan with T-Mobile so I get phone service free.

The phone seems useless for here in Australia. Our networks charge a fortune for data and 3g seems to be the push these days.
Not to mention it won't be here till 2008! I was hoping that there would be a new version sometime in 08!

i simply wont be buying it because I wont be switching BACK to cingular-i am going to wait and see and hope and pray and pray that other carriers (verizon specifically) are added or it becomes possible to use a different carrier

I don't know. I hae a good phone at the moment. It wont be coming out here for a long time so buy then other phones will have been released that will be better.
I really like the idea of the full screen ipod bit but i would like to see them sell it separately. Have the same screen size but drop the phone and everything else from it and have larger hard drives and of course, a price drop. Then i would buy that.
