Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

The one thing I absolutely loved about the Evo was the size. The screen is huge and an absolute delight to work with.

i think 4.3" is puuuurfect. the dell streak is a bit too big with the 5" , and the iphone just a little too small now after 4 generations (not that the retina display isnt absolutely pucking amazing!)

Isn't Apple never going to go for a 4" because of Steve Job's statement? I think it's going to stay 3.5" or at the most go to 3.7". I think Apple has reached their max potential for now with the screen. The only thing they can do is go for a bigger screen.

I think maybe a 4 inch screen would be ok. I mean the current iPhone screen size is perfect for being in a pocket and holding, but it is a tad difficult to type on now since everything is squished. I don't have that big of hands either.

Totally fine the way it is. EVO, Droid X, etc., these things are too freaking big. The Iphone is almost on the side of too big to be pocketed comfortably, but it's fine. I don't want it smaller, obviously, and I can't see it getting much bigger without it being ridiculous like those behemoths. Why would I need it bigger? I haven't seen a compelling argument for that yet.

Big enough to do what you want and enjoy your media/apps and small enough to keep the phone at a portable enough size.

Unlike devices like the HTC Evo 4G, which are just too big. People used to mock those who owned the N-Gage and held it to their heads to make a call, and that's tiny compared to the Evo 4G.

I'm content with the iPhone's 3.5" screen, I played with the Captivate yesterday and it's way too big IMO, someone who's into video and gaming would probably disagree, but I personally have no use for it.

I am ok with the way it is. While I would like a slightly larger screen, I would like them to keep the dimensions of the phone the same, while making the phone better. It's kind of a Catch 22 until technology advances, so I will leave it at that

It's not a portable mini-laptop, it's still a phone even though a very smart one. ;)
So for me it's perfect, not too small, not too big. If Apple ever go up in screen size, I sure hope the overall size of the device remains the same - perfect.
EVOs are just huge and ugly. But it's just me. :)

It's fine, especially with the retina screen. If I want a bigger screen, I'll pull out the iPad, and if that's too small, there's the 17" MBP. Or the 50" plasma my husband suckered me into by promising I could watch baseball on it. Now THAT'S a screen! LOL

Seriously, the iPhone is portable. Much bigger and it doesn't fit in your pocket. The screen is so crisp, I've stopped carrying my Kindle around with me, because it's no longer a chore to read on the iPhone. If a game is graphics intensive, it tends to look way better on the iPad, so I find I won't play it on the iPhone anyway. Half an inch isn't going to make enough of a difference for me to offset the inconvenience of the larger, heavier device.

Why not have two different models?

I personally think it's time for Apple (the sole provider of hardware for the iOS platform) to offer multiple cell phone models.

Why not have both a 3.5 and 4-4.5" models?

Maybe they could stager the product cycles so that they have a fresh product out every 6 months instead of every 12?

How about making an iPhone line and iPhone Pro line?

I'm really pumped about the upcoming hardware revision to the 2011 iPhone according to the Washing Post.

Could this be a 4" inch iPhone or perhaps even a 4.5" iPhone?

Why can't apple get rid of the home button and make the screen bigger without making the device bigger? Might be able to add .20-.25 of an inch without increasing the size of the device.

I would pay $500 (after AT&T's subsidy) for this phone without hesitation if it had a 4.3" or bigger screen and an 8mp camera. Build it :apple:!

the screen is perfectthe way it is, any bigger then buy the soon to be released ipad mini ;p

The screen is perfect for skinny nerds like Jobs and little girls. My hands dwarf that little thing. C'mon Apple, release a phone built for an American man instead of a Chinese girl.
