by "scren protector" you mean like the plastic films some people put over their iPhones or iPod Touchs?

sounds good! my current phone takes good quality pictures and videos so it's good to know i'm not down-grading in that area.

I have the ZAGG screen protector on my iphone and love it.
There are other companies that are cheaper. Off the top of my head i cant remember.

Verizon has a screen protector made for the Voyager and it fits perfect. You get 3 screen protectors for $5.00 or so.

haha i will add that band on Myspace, and back to my original question, the protectors are pretty much clear films over the touch screen?

I think go with the Voyager I was reading every post and the Voyager sounds good the env2 looks like a calculator I like the env1 better than the env2. Also this Wednesday I'm going to get a new phone and I think I'll get the Voyager instead of the Dare. :D

haha it's kind of interesting how influential people's experiences are here (i'm not saying that's a bad thing). and yeah, i had my phone replaced Saturday for free because i have insurance and i'm ready for an upgrade so i'm going to get the Voyager then switch my current phone to my dad's number.

i keep asking him when can we go to the Verizon store! he's in no rush but i just can't waitttt.

i prefer my Touch without any screen protectors, granted i haven't used any, but i might feel the same about the Voyager touch screen as well.

I would suggest getting a screen protector. A guy I work with has lots of scratches on his. I can't even tell its on at all, and no scratches :D

(note that i don't even have the phone yet) well, i'm not going to plan on buying one right away, but i'll look into it after some time (if everything goes as planned and i do get the Voyager)

The Iphone and Itouches screens can take more of a beating compared to the Voyager.

arghhhhh i just want this phone now. :rolleyes:it's been a little bit of time since i've had a new gadget/toy/electronic to play around with. my last one was the Touch:apple: in July.

What is the data charge if you want internet access (but not email) on the Voyager or Dare?

Is there any way to get a BB Storm or Samsung Omnia without adding the $30 data plan?

...All I really want is a nice, sleek phone good for phone calls, texting, and maybe the internet.

i think the lowest data plan is like $15 but i don't know what it includes/excludes, check Verizon's website.

and i hear you about the phone, minus the occasional Internet.

Take the Voyager over the enV2 any day. I've used both extensively, and the Voyager is a much better phone.

It is weird. When the Voyager first came out I thought it was a piece of s***. Just recently a friend of mine got one. I was playing with it a few days ago, and it seems like a decent phone. I am considering it now.

honestly its a touchscreen phone thats not an iphone, you probably will be sitting around making comparisons to it and your touch and be disappointed, i went with the env2

I'd consider the Voyager because it has a much larger primary display over the miniscule and cramped front display on the enV 2. I reviewed the Voyager in February before Apple released their 2.0 software update.

that was a good review, i liked the pros/cons at the end to sum it all up. seems like a good phone!

i love my voyager and the size. inbox holds 202/outbox holds 52.

good enough for me:)

Happy New Year everyone.

I just had the chance to play with a friend's Storm. Nice phone. Not as nice as the iPhone, but I'd take it. I plan to go to the Verizon store tomorrow to check, but is it possible to get the Storm without a data plan?

what about the glyde?

its touchscreen is capacitve (unlike the voyager and being pressure based) and has a qwerty keyboard as well

my brother liked it

i used to have the voyager, was pretty nice too. just big

either way, we both ditched those phones and got iphones during the test drive period lol. glad i did

If you simply MUST chose between these two, go with the Voyager.
But really, please give the LG Dare another chance, I am a avid texter (150+ per day) and I really love the virtual keyboard for texting on. Though some may disagree, it is easily on par/if not better then the iPhones keyboard.
The touchscreen is much better then the Voyager as well, and the Dare carries many more features than the Voyager.
The camera is the best that there is on any current touchscreen phone on the US market, with a 3.2mp camera w/flash.
Hope I could help.
