The Dare is a nice phone and I bet you will like it. It's too small for me tho. I had to call Verizon today and got an issue fixed fast, I just wish they had the Iphone :D

MacWorld 2009 in a few days! anything is possible. it wouldn't be too bad of an idea either for Apple because it's more revenue, and we all know how desperate some companies are for an increase in income (sh*tty US economy)

I'd propose a blackberry, but if you won't use the data feature, get the enV 2. The Voyager has an atrocious touch screen.

Apple signed a contract with AT&T I think till 2010.

I have no issues with mine and I think it's great. I had mine since it came out and I am not easy on cell phones either. I love the touch screen on it and was the main selling point.

i'd shy away from both to be honest, haha. but if you're strictly choosing between the two i'd go with the voyager.

regarding the inbox in my voyager, i've got 242 messages. sent has 83 and i've got 17 messages in my drafts folder. my voyager definitely holds more messages than my old vx8600 did

when it come down to the TWO.... enV2 or Voyager?

yeah i have the VX8600 right now and i've never had more unsatisfied really, i've had to replace it about five times, mostly because of internal stuff not working.

on those two alone, the Voyager.

but the Dare vs. Voyager, i don't know.

yesiree, i completely agree with you.
enV2 vs voyager: voyager.
dare vs voyager: depends if you like qwerty.

i don't know if i want full time touchscreen (Dare) but i don't know if i actually need a QWERTY keyboard (Voyager) though i do text a good amount

Have you gone to the store and tried them out yet?

hardly, i went a little over a week ago to get my current phone replaced and i played around with the Voyager a little bit, but other than that i've never used either phone. my dad keeps telling me we'll do it but he puts it off saying he has better things to do, when he's out of work because of an injury so he's not doing squat all day. he just doesn't want to go.

whenever he feels like taking me i'm gonna ask about the 30 day swap your phone thing and i'm gonna start with the Dare and see how that works out.

I just went in a couple of days ago intent on getting a Dare but wound up getting an env2 once I had some time to play with the touchscreen keyboard on the Dare in the store. I also placed some calls on the Dare and then the env2 to several friends and they universally said the env2 sounded much better on their end, though they sounded similar on my end.

As far as the 30 day swap goes, just wanted to let you know that they will do that without question, but there is an automatic set $35 fee to make the exchange no matter what you exchange it for. That is in addition to any upcharge fee if you get a more expensive phone by chance.

I never really liked QWERTY phones, the idea of it...
now I LOVE it. flip open my phone and text away.
I don't think I would go back to a phone without
QWERTY. I would get a smartphone for verizon, but
that extra data plan is expensive... per line.

what if i downgraded, because i think the Dare would cost me $130 and the Voyager $100, and i plan on starting with the Dare. would i lose my $30 difference? or is that paid back?

yeahh, my friend (i found out today) has the Voyager in Titanium, which is the one i am considering. and he let me hold it but i didn't wanna play around with it because we were in school and i would've felt bad if a teacher took it, but it isn't as "bulky" as some people make it seem. it's a big phone, but it seems to be worth the pocket space.

anything is up for grabs! argh!

I carry mine in my pocket all the time and it has a snap on case, so I don't think its bulky at all.

i'm starting to agree with that statement. people who posted saying the Voyager was a tank made influenced me to think it was because i've never like had it in my pocket nor really held it in my hand too much, but it honestly isn't anything to complain about, though my current phone is very slim and short.

basically at the moment i have concluded (these are opinions, not facts)...

LG enV2: the small external screen and huge keypad is kind of ugly, but the inside has the big screen and QWERTY keyboard. i am 95% sure i will not buy this phone.

LG Voyager (titanium): the external touchscreen is pretty sweet. the phone itself is attractive, the size is a little big on the large size in comparison to my current phone and the enV2 and the Dare. the QWERTY keyboard seems like something i'd enjoy having because of the amount of texting i do, though i don't know if it's completely necessary.

LG Dare: the touchscreen and design of the phone itself seems like it is worth the money. from what i've read on reviews the texting in T9 or QWERTY is all opinion based (easy/difficult), so you can't base it all on you read. it's small(er than the Voyager) and i like that a lot.

right now i'm leaning towards the Dare over the Voyager, like 70/30.
