OmniWeb has been my browser of choice for years (I started using it back in 1998 with version 2.4). I gave Safari a spin when it was first released, but went back to OmniWeb shortly after that.

This is a repeat thread, but some people change their minds fairly frequently. I'm loving Safari right now. I was about to dump it a couple months ago cause of instability but its perfect now.

Add PithHelmet for nearly 100% add blocking and I think its pretty close to the perfect browser.

I used Firefox for a while but just recently switched to Safari

when i say recently i mean like 10 minutes ago

I love Camino and Shiira. Camino will probably always be my favorite browser. Right now, I'm using Safari as my main, though, due to an issue with an important school-related website I have to be on pretty much all the time. SafariStand and SafariSpeed make it livable, but someday I'll definitely go back to bleeding edge G4 Camino. Also, I like having the interface in the browser match the Finder (what can I say? I'm a switcher; as much as I hate IE, I'm used to it looking like Windows Explorer).

Are there any apps for safari to unify the look of it?
I know you can unify everything with shapeshifter themes but I don't wanna do that JUST safari.

I saw an app somewhere once i think but it said that after safari 2 it wouldn't work anymore.

I would say Safari probably, then Camino or Opera (Firefox seems to be a bit slow, bloated and rugged at times, IMO).

I like Safari because it is fast, works for most sites, has the smoothest scrolling (I think) out of all the Mac browsers, and has a lot of good features. I recently discovered pimpmysafari.com which is really good for providing extra features (e.g. I now have a "New tab" on my browser). They say that they only list useful add ons for Safari.

Camino is nice as well, and Opera has a lot of great features that you won't find in safari or firefox!

Safari hands down. I've tried FireFox and Camino (and use them when I come across the odd temperamental site which isn't Safari-compatible), but I just like the way Safari works :)

surprisingly, Shiira has WAAAAY smoother scrolling than Safari.

Camino

I just changed my default browser back to Camino since 1.0 launched. It is the fastest browser I have used and it looks great. But you can't beat the RSS function in Safari. I will probably go back to Safari once the brushed metal is gone. I just started to really dislike the brushed metal since it started to disappear from Apples apps.

On another note I had to give a presentation the other day on Web Browser in computer class. So tried out a bunch of browsers in the last few weeks. What a blast. There are some cool browsers out for OS X. I really liked Flock and Shiira, they are not ready to be daily drivers but have some nice features and look great. They are worth a spin.

I've really come around to Firefox. The search plugins and extensions are so nice. Safari is good, but crashes too often for me with more than 5 or 6 tabs open. Firefox has been very stable for me.

What browser do you use most often?

I've just downloaded Camino for Mozilla, and it's very nice.
But my current fave is Firefox.

I use Firefox most of the time (with a silver, Safari-like skin). I like changing the appearance and I don't have to worry as much about certain sites working with it (both in and outside of work). I'm not saying the others don't work just as well, I just like using a browser that is more commonly used by others (that isn't IE).

I like Safari, but I'm sticking with Firefox for now...I suppose I should try out Camino.

is there a way to do tabbed browsing in safari?
I use Deeppark, the new FF for intel, and camino. Camino is definitly the fastest and I find that the JAVA engine and plug ins for camino work better. I know it should be the same engine, but some sites ONLY play with camino.
Yeah, just go to preferences in Safari and turn tabbed browsing on.
Why isn't it just on in the frist place??

Agreed.
I feel more like the rest of the people w/ Firefox, since it has about 10% of the market share(right?). And it's pathetic that 88% of the market share is IE. What utter idiots. (sorry, I know it can be good for coding b/c everrrryone uses it... but for security... ugh)

Is there a version of safari that supports tabbed browsing?

Or maybe something that changes firefox so it uses webkit to render pages instead of geeko?
Go to Preferences>Tabs
Yeah.... see it??
