64GB is a joke when you put it all together.

Apps are getting big, videos are already big, and music has also increased in size (when they went DRM free)... yet apple insists on stagnating capacities on the iPhone and iPods.

Still waiting for a bigger capacity before I upgrade. (which could be forever due to trying to market their cloud)

Well I would definitely have gone for that deal too. Extra space for the same price? Gimme gimme!

Hehe, the thing is i was ready to buy a 64GB, but i couldn't find any deal on the private market (apple store isn't shipping it out here yet), so i was feeling the need for an iPhone 4S more than getting the 64GB... :p + i saved myself some cash and more fun time with the phone, instead of looking around for one until i actually find one.. :)

I know that feeling. I grabbed the absolute last one here in Kingston, and that was the day they got new stock in at the store. Depending on how things evolve with iCloud and iTunes match I MAY get the 32GB version for the next release, but I'm somewhat doubting it the way things are currently sitting.

But I can't blame people for maxing out their phones either, some people just have the need for that much space.

Before apps like Pandora, I had a need to have as much music as I could get on my phone -
Now, I have no need to fuss with it as much. I can listen to whatever I want on Pandora, still have room for thousands of songs on my 16g, (just don't need to store my entire library on my "phone" - :)

And btw, there is no correct answer, it's all about personal needs and preferences. Car manufacturers for decades have been producing the same model with different options and in different colors - ;)

I'm rocking a white 32gig on ATT. definitely all the space I need..... but I can see I'm gonna fill it up quick. Movies take forEVER to load over wifi btw. Anyone have a way to speed up this process?

32gb, had a 16gb iPhone 4 and found it was full quite often.

Apps and games are getting bigger all the time too

I feel you. First iPhone. I originally was going to get just a 16 but the store ran out and only had 32. impulse buy forced me to get a 32 :)..And to be honest, best decision. Im almost full at 16gb. I have 3 movies, nice library of music and i know i can take all the pictures I need in HDR and not run out of room. Very liberating knowing this. Re-sal value will be nice. Hopefully if I decide to get the next gen iPhone the resale value will cover all the fee's and cost for a 32gb as well.

I was sitting on the fence, weighing all the options between 16 and 32, and decided that I didn't need the additional 16GB for my purposes. I have an HD camcorder, and dSLR camera, for those occasions that would warrant extra storage, and better equipment, so 16GB it was.

Hehe, you just gotta have it sometimes! I've never really been into apple until i got my first iPhone 3G, since then i've been hooked. Strange thing that..

I guess i could have done with 16GB too, just because of iCloud and iTunes match, which i guess is great to have a lot of storage on! The worst thing for me though is that you don't have enough reception everywhere you are, so i cannot always reach the net in such a speed that i can stream music, which sucks, otherwise it would be a no-brainer to put the money on upgrading the iCloud storage and getting iTunes match to go with it as that gives you more space than any iPhone can offer you!

16GB

64GB is pointless, no reason to pay 399 and a contract for storage that most likely one would not use.

chose the 64gb, and glad I did.

At the moment I'm at 40.6gb used and 16.8gb free. Need space to take videos and to download the nice new apps that are 1gb+, like Infinity Blade 2.

For you but not for me, I had no space on my 32gig iPhone and was deleting apps all the time toward the end, filling that was easy, I expect this 64 gig won't be empty by the time my contract is up.

All set for the unlocked 32GB 4S, but ended up with a 64GB model. Now I have the 32GB iPhone 4 and 64GB iPhone 4S for my daily use.

If all everyone needed was 16GB Apple wouldn't have come out with 32 and 64GB.

I got the 64GB. No, I didn't drop $400.00 on it. Our family got free iPhone 4's last year because of a problem AT&T caused us so when we upgraded to the 4S's we sold our 4's and that covered the price.

$400 for the 64GB isn't a lot if you actually need it. Or even the extra $100 for the 32GB vs the 16GB.

I personally got the 16GB, would get an 8GB if they made it. If I can't fit all my music on it, then it won't replace my iPod Classic. Let's hope for a 128GB :D.

Actual capacity of the 16g is 13.6g, and I still have 9.0g left after 2 months.
I was thinking about snagging a 32g thinking it would have better resale value, but after the total fiasco just getting the 16g, I decided NOT to take on the extra hassle -
