Good news guys - picked up my fourth MacBook Pro and it is a winner!!!! Just sad that it took me 4 tries to land one that is cosmetically perfect but it helped to wait a week or so and pick up from a different store. Hope everyone's replacements are trouble-free - now I can finally begin enjoying mine.

Poor quality control on silver 15 rMBP - scratches near the speaker hole array

Maxed out 15" except for 1TB drive instead of 2TB - that's all they have in stock at the stores. No way I was going to wait for a replacement 2TB. Apple loses here for their carelessness - they would've gotten even more profit out of me due to their insane SSD markup.

Now that you found a perfect one whats your plan to keep it that way? Are you thinking of a snap on hard case or just use a sleeve?
Sleeve should do. Also no way would I get that cheaply-repaired-curb-rash mark through normal wear and tear
Nice! I got the 2.7/512/460, so I had to order a replacement through Apple's cs. Shipping my first one out first thing Monday to hopefully get it soon.

Lol I'm sure people think were being way to picky and whining about a scuff but i never received an apple product that wasn't perfect and not like we scratched it!! I carry mine in the incase slim back pack and will get an incase sleeve when ever they decide to release them.
Can I see a screen shot of like your processing order? So it's not removing the charge right on the Barclaycard?

I basically just erased the drive and shipped it they can do the rest lol! Mine just went to preparing to ship hopefully this week ill have it. Turnaround time is looking at like a week and a half not horrible considering.

Just checked mine. Identical scratches lol. It isn't noticeable until you shine a torch on it however, and there's no feel to it. So I can understand how these are passing through QC.
Must be one of the machines or something, not sure I can be bothered to return mine over it though.

I'm on my second Silver 15" right now, waiting for the third to arrive in store for replacement.
The first one had a small chip on the top left edge, my second one has a same kind of chip on the left air intake. I'm generally not too fussy about such things but I'm making an exception for this most expensive piece of technology I've ever bought.

Same scuff by the speaker grill, left side BTO Space Gray 15".

Seeing your specs on your signature, most Apple Store has that config in stock if you live nearby one.
Hopefully mines comes with no scratches or chips as well! Mines been processing since Monday night, so hopefully it goes into PFS tomorrow. Let us know if your replacement is perfect tomorrow.
