I have the same config as you, praying mines will be good when it comes in next week! Are they able to do multiple replacements on the same order? I'm just worried since I paid using Barclaycard and my 30 day offer is pretty much done. If you wait out the 2 weeks, will your replacement process or not until you mail it out?
I think you're better off replacing via your local Apple store (try to settle on one of the configs they stock) - that helped me as I went through 4 to get a good one - now way I'd want to wait 2 weeks between each only to be disappointed.
I just tried that they said the best they can do was 10% off the 3500 model. I have the edu discount on this one for 2850.
Damn, as much as I would want a replacement faster, I'm not down to pay an upgrade to 2.9/1TB.
Did you end up replacing your Mac? Mines is scheduled to deliver between Dec 8-12 and it's still stuck in processing.
