Pope's visit will impact UPS deliveries in NYC, DC, and Philly [CONFIRMED]

The Pope will be all over Manhattan: by the U.N., (Madison Square Garden) and somewhere downtown and uptown. I'll know more next week but my job may close on 9/25 due to his visit. Most access to subways and such outside of my place of employment will be limited.

I hope the Papal visit won't conflict with your phone deliveries.
 
UPS put up a statement, some areas will be affected, here is the link and zip codes affected.

The Pope will be in town and you're worried about a delayed shipment?? I'd happily wait another week for the 6s if it meant getting the chance to say hi and take a selfie with that guy!

If you are living in New York City, Washington D.C, or Philadelphia, you will likely see a delay in your new iPhone being delivered.

UPS has already announced that for numerous zip codes there will no deliveries while the security measures are in place.

Does this impact anyone on the forum?

Aha a LOL they are calling it PopeGate

few if any people in these cities will get their phones.

I'm guessing you're not a New Yorker, LOL. If I still lived in the city, I'd be planning a weekend in Boston or the Gunks just to get away from it all, and I'm a Catholic. The traffic, the influx of papal tourists, the increased threat level and precautions that come with that - it's all a pretty big pain in the rear.

I'm in a similar boat. I'm picking mine up from the Apple Store in Grand Central since I work right across the street. Apple Stores receive their shipments days in advance, and the boxes are just marked to not open it before 9/25/15.
