I mean, are they really that dependent on Steve's guidance?

I recall reading that Jony and Steve constantly challenged each other on ideas and designs.

Creatively, it's never good to do things in a vacuum and I wonder if that's why Marc Newsome (for better or worse), was brought on board

Can't believe they spent time worrying about the antenna bands. We are only going to cover it with a case. Maybe if they could make the corners impact resistant, make the phone so it wasn't like holding a wet bar of soap we could them leave the case off and care more about how the phone looks.

"...wet bar of soap..." for sure! I don't miss it.

Now they all sit around in the boardroom

"so...um, I think we should make it thinner"
"thinner...brilliant !!!!"
"yes..lets make it thinner...everyone wants thinner, and those who don't just don't know it yet"

Just shows we can't believe everything we see. There will be plenty more rumours between now and September. I'm not believing anything until Phil Schiller unveils it on stage.

I wouldn't be surprised if Phil decides to give this years keynote a miss, probably be to embarrassed to show his face if this is supposed to be an all new design.

Can't wait until they describe this as an "all-new" design

Very disappointing that we'll (likely) have a 2014 design well into 2017.

iPhone 6SS

Could be a Top seller in Germany!

Folks, reacting to such rumors and obsessing about antenna bands, where the camera is, photoshop or not are a waste of time.

What I do hope is that Apple admits the current models are way to slippery for unprotected...........
carrying around!

Me too, i think the iPhone Plus will be a little different, dual camera maybe? or it could be the same just bigger and they might add an iPhone Pro to the lineup with the dual camera and possibly a 256GB option? We will see as we get closer to the September announcement and more leaks appear, and of course we will know for sure when Apple announce.

Yeah I think so too. It's strange however that with the iPhone 6 and 5 full case pictures where available in March/April already, while now we only have some leaked schematics. Personally I would only go for the 4.7" version, but I'm curious to see the Plus/Pro.

I really think they will be going with one of the two wireless charging methods as that seems to be a gripe among many people that choose to go from an iPhone to a Samsung, So I would guess that the iPhone 7 will be sporting a glass back in some fashion. This is one of the reasons I really doubt that they will keep the aluminum back on the phone. Does anyone know a material that Apple has used in the past other than glass that would work with a wireless charging system, because we all know they won't go to plastic like Samsung would?

The only way that the smart connector on the back would make sense for Apple is if the phone was going to be built in a new way to be completely waterproof, removing all perforations to the outside. Apple would then be able to include a small dock or magnetic connector like the one for the Apple Watch to charge and sync the phone through the port and they would include a bluetooth headset, removing the lightning port altogether. This would be a radical change, but not something that I would count out in the future.

All I have to say is Tim Cook better live up to his word when he said "A feature you cannot live without with the iPhone 7." He was referencing with Mad Money Jim Cramer. Because if it doesn't have a show stopper, I will live without the iPhone 7 until next year.

To be fair he never uttered the words iPhone 7 when he said that. Everybody just ran with that. He just said that they're coming up with great innovations in the future. That could mean great innovations for the Watch, iPad, CarOS, Mac etc. not every great innovation means the next iPhone. I mean he could have been talking about the phone but he did not come straight out and say it

I think there are a couple of things with regards to the case leaks, most of them are fakes so not directly linked to Apple.
Apple could of had a number of models made before settling on the final design.
Also Apple may of tightened security and that's why there haven't been any leaks of the actual device yet. Personally i think we will see more leaks the closer we get to the September announcement. I think there will be an iPhone 7 with a standard camera but better than the 6s, and then the bigger 5.5" iPhone 7 Plus will have the dual camera OR it wont and they will save it for an iPhone Pro which will probably be at a higher premium price. Just my two pennies worth, i could be completely wrong!

By the way I also have a legit leaked image of the iPhone 7 that I made on Photoshop

I would watch, within the hour this may be all over the news proclaiming to be the "Real iPhone 7" and people complaining that it looks too much like 6 and 6s ;)

Direct quote from Tim Cook listed below. I think it's clear he is referring to the iPhone 7 AND future iPhones. That particular conversation was discussing the iPhone's themselves, had nothing to do with any other Apple's products, as they were on the topic of the iPhone decline/innovation. Know your source!

“We’ve got great innovation in the pipeline for new iPhones that will incent you and other people that have iPhones today to upgrade to new iPhones,” said Cook, tossing in iPhone 7 hype. “We are going to give you things that you can’t live without that you just don’t know you need today.”
