To be fair he never uttered the words iPhone 7 when he said that. Everybody just ran with that. He just said that they're coming up with great innovations in the future. That could mean great innovations for the Watch, iPad, CarOS, Mac etc. not every great innovation means the next iPhone. That particular conversation was discussing the iPhone's themselves, had nothing to do with any other Apple's products, as they were on the topic of the iPhone decline/innovation. Know your source!
