Got my space gray XS today as an upgrade from my silver 8 Plus. I absolutely love it. I love how the screen is about as big yet it’s so much more manageable and lighter. I picked two Apple leather cases, a product red and a black one. Love it all! The iPhone upgrade program worked flawlessly again!

I went 8+ to Max and so glad I did. The screen size, physical size, weight all no issue for me.

All you folks who upgraded from 1-2 year old phones. I downsized and upgraded from my 4 year old 6+ to a gray XS 256gb and it’s light years ahead of my last which had been a really good phone. The screen is almost as big but no more trying to stuff that big clunker into my jeans...

I had the X and upgraded to the Max. I can't believe I operated with such a small phone. The Max is so much better.

Last year, my husband and I decided to get the 8 Plus instead of the X, and I have to say I'm glad we waited for the XS Max just because the screen is absolutely amazing. We just wiped our 8 Plus phones to send back in and it already felt foreign to have to deal with the home button and smaller screen just one day after getting our new iPhones. I also had no idea that just about every app I use has Face ID built in - it's so fast!

Upgraded from Space Grey 128GB 6+ to the Gold 256GB Max and I love it. If I had gotten the X last year, I may have skipped this year so I'm glad I waited.


If you have anything before the X or 8+, this is a good upgrade for you even for the money.

IPhone XS Max has cellular issues. Calls being unclear and sometimes dropping signal.

Luckily I don’t have any charging issues but I do have signal issues.

I have had the same experience as you with the exception that since launch day, sometimes when I touch the screen, it won't come on, but using the sleep/wake once fixes that. it has only happened twice, though.

I have the SG MAX unlocked (no carrier) with 512gb.

Mine has not had this problem waking up. I charge on the Morphie wireless charging pad and if I touch the screen it opens every time so far. Hope they fix your problem with an update. Should be seeing out first one soon.

I love my iPhone XS Max. I sold an 8 and an iPhone X to part fund it. I got the gold version with 256GBs of storage. I find it the perfect size. I never had one of the plus models with which to compare it, but it's good how Apple got rid of all that bezel and still provided a bigger screen.

I keep an Honor 10 as a backup device but I can see myself holding onto the Max for 2 years at least.

My LTE signals drop to 3G while calls are not always clear because VOLTE won’t work without LTE.

Apart from that the phone is perfect.
