I'm trying to figure out the exercise minutes. I took a lap around our track and it counted 1 exercise minute!!

----------

Went for a 25 minute walk tonight, tracked in the Workout app, with my kids and it credited me 7 minutes of walking in the activity app. That's disappointing. We did only average about a 20/min mile, my kids are little, but still. It's walking. It should count for something.

Lol I'm having the same issue. I guess I'm going to no to need to add something else. I even jogged some, did 2 miles and only credited 1 or 2 minutes. I did credit my 50 jumping jacks

Life of a nurse. No need for stand reminders for me!
Damn! Is that 17 hours?!

How long does a lap take? My lap around the track took a minute 39 seconds so it would b correct to credit me 1 minute of exercise until I did another 21 seconds of "brisk" walking or something.

I could do better. I am planning on going on a bike run tomorrow.

I managed to burn over 800 active calories yesterday so won this achievement:
Just noticed these Move Achievement awards. They are based on calories burned. Guess I need to lower my 'target' so I can achieve this. About to do a 10 mile run but maybe it should be 12 instead of 10. I now dislike you for pointing this out.:D

When I set the watch up I picked the least ambitious daily calorie goal, but then increase this to 400cal a couple of days later. I have comfortably exceeded it every day since, so it will be interesting to see at what point the Activity app increases my daily goal.

Does the watch give you the total calories you burned for the whole day, resting/active? What does it do about the nighttime hours (when it's charging)? Are they just ignored/not counted or does it assume you're burning at your calculated resting calorie burn rate?

I've doubled my Move ring four out of seven days now, may need to increase it. Currently it's 450kcal, which doesn't seem a great amount.

I haven't drastically changed my habits, but I do get up now every hour and walk around (though I feel they are sometimes counterproductive - it told me to stand so I went downstairs and had a biscuit :p ) and walk shorter journeys more often. Only a week in though.

Did anyone get the "7 Workout Week" achievement yet? I have worked out for more than 15 minutes every day since i got the watch (7 consecutive days) but have not been given this award, which is bugging the hell out of me.

I wonder what Apple define as "a single week" - i.e if that has to run from Monday to Sunday?

In the Achievement section of the iPhone Activity App, the Perfect Week (Move) award is described as "Earn this award when you reach your Move goal every day of a single week, Monday through Sunday".

So Apple seem to define a week as Monday through Sunday. Given the first watches for retail customers were delivered Friday 24 April, the first full week awards should come on Sunday 3 May.

Thanks. Looks like i'll need to workout tomorrow. Was planning to take a day off but i need to get that achievement :)

Anyone know how to reset the activity app to when you first pair the watch? I want to start over, erase my data and do it seriously now?

I'd like to find this out too, as I upgraded (downgraded price wise) from a 38mm SS to a 42mm SG sport, and would like to start new.

How are you guys/girls feeling towards resting days? I've had a resting day yesterday only gaining about 6 minutes towards my daily exercise goal of 30 min. However my move and stand goals were over-achieved. It's bumming me out not having all rings filled though.

Even on a resting day you should be able to get 30 minutes. I always take 1 day off a week but I do a 20 minute or so core workout that day. Just walking around the house easily gets me well past 30 minutes.

I don't. I'm not sure but since I think that Apple made the exercise-functionality get active at certain heart-rates based on your own age I haven't succeeded in getting 30 minutes worth of exercise on my day off. I even carried my 2-year old yesterday when at the museum walking at a descent pace. Only got about 6 minutes worth of "exercise". Probably need to check when it counts.

By the end of the day I'll have every award besides the perfect month and 100/365/1000 award

Tidy little haul I had last Sunday with 6 hours of softball

Post your Apple Watch work out/ Activity rings!

Apart from Tuesday when I left my watch at home thinking Runkeeper would add my exercise-data to the activity-app I'm pretty satisfied with the week so far.
