Yeah, I don't have stuff that must be signed for delivered to my house any more. I realized today that Thursday is the day we fly off for a long weekend to attend my nephew's high school graduation. I'm sure Apple planned the computer's delivery to coincide with my departure. :rolleyes:

Just hope the store doesn't send it back or sell it to someone else before I can pick it up next Tuesday.

You should call them just to make sure they keep it.

I'd try to bring it along. It would be so cool to be able to test out the size of the new rMB on an airline tray.

I'd love to take it with me and try it on the airplane tray. That's one of the reasons I switched to an 11" MBA four years ago. Alas, our flight leaves at 6:30 a.m., and even if the rMB has been delivered I suspect the store won't be open by then.

Yes, I'll definitely call to tell them I can't make it in for a few days. I'll be fretting about it the whole time I'm gone.

It's a little embarrassing the degree to which I'm anticipating this thing. And reading these forums only feeds my frenzy. All I can say is, this computer had better fill all the dark, hollow spaces in my soul and finally make me truly, deeply happy. Otherwise I'm totally sending it back. ;)
 
Can someone please tell me how Apple just released the new 15 inch rMBP today and it has a shipping date of 1 business day? How is that possible when the rMB was released on April 10th and I'm still waiting......
 
Found an Apple authorized reseller in Manhattan that had a Space Grey 512GB 1.2GHz and it's coming overnight, I'll have it tomorrow.

I'm just the same on the anticipation - what ekse to do whilst we wait? Plus am pretty certain it will be a panacea

I got the, "Your shipment is on its way," notice today, 20 May 2015. The notice gave a delivery date of 28 May 2015, but the FedEx tracking page is giving a 27 May 2015 date.

I just checked and my new computer arrived at the FedEx location TODAY. ARGH!!! I thought it wasn't coming until tomorrow. Too late to pick it up now. Tomorrow I will finally have it.

I canceled today my order from Apple for a 1.3 Space Grey because I found in Macmall the 1.2 available to ship today, so I will be getting it soon!. I hope I don't regret the decision

I did the same - though I had to switch from a 1.3 Space Gray to a 1.3 Gold.

Typing on it now - it is much better than I thought it would be. I had a dozen safari tabs open along with google chrome, Skype, syncing 100 gigs of dropbox data, downloading mail, running windows in parallels - and in that doing bayesian deconvolution of x-ray spectra. Meanwhile I had R scripts running and a few numbers and pages documents open along with iTunes playing.

All that - no stutter, no lag. These are great machines.
 
Just ordered mine yesterday May 20th, as you can see today there is 3-5 week delay announced, however when I placed the order it said that delivery is planned between June 23rd - July 6th. If I can count right, which anyone can, that is 5-7 weeks. Does Apple like to mess with us or just think we are stupid? Anyway, this product has been launched for over a month and there are still 5-7 week delays, something I can't believe. Supply estimations completly off with demand. Anyone else order recently?

Mine arrived yesterday too, a day early. (Ordered 1.3/512/SG on April 15; delivered May 20.) Picked it up after work but didn't have time to set it up last evening, only enough time to spend a few minutes caressing it. On the road now for the rest of the holiday weekend.

Hope you're enjoying yours!

3-5 weeks is the time until dispatch (from China).

5-7 weeks is the estimated delivery.

How soon did you get your order from MacMall?
 
my CC was charged on Wednesday finally, but until now, the status still shows "Processing".

The deliver window is 20/5 -3/6, and I have to go trip from 30/5. But now I believe I cannot get it before that... sign*...

20th to the 6th is much better than what the Apple Store is at now. When did you place your order?
 
I ordered my Space Grey 1.3gHz 512GB MacBook on April 20 and received it today. It is stunningly gorgeous in every way. I'm blown away. The quality fit and finish is excellent.

I ordered on 16/4, 1.3/512, BTO.
I know so many ppl have already received their macbook already. Just don't know why my order is so late......

I hope that you get your MacBook soon. Everything about this new MacBook is stunning. Concerning appearance, everything that I can see upon initial inspection looks great including fit and finish. The screen is stunning. As far as I can tell thus far, no lag in performance whatsoever.
