Here is the upstairs "Media Room" I just started building.

medianm8.jpg

Just picked up the tv.

Xbox 360 also runnign Connect360
Powerbook, connect via RGB, picking up a wireless mouse/keyboard to use with that.
DVR

Desperate need of some cable management system. I'd like to put everything through the wall but that may be tough. I have to decide what to do.

Just put this all together yesterday so still working on it.

lol, I totally forgot about this thread. I wanna go downstairs and take a pic. but I'm to lazy. and I'm going to my cousin's house in ~15 minutes. so I'll do it to..Friday. (Can't do it on Thanksgiving now can we?)

400 bucks was a pretty good deal for it.

If only it was 1080p

+1 oh well, still great quality. I'm trying to get a good rip workflow for DVDs to stream through Connect360 on the XBOX. Most of the AVI files I have now are too low of quality when streamed through the xbox, however they look good on the powerbook via RGB cable.

Now if only I could get a good cable management system going and clean that mess up. I'll probably put a cabinet or something in the corner where the router and all that is and put all of that inside and sneak cables around that corner so they're mostly hidden.

Anyone have their TV wall mounted and cables hidden? Can you please post the stand you have that holds all your equipment. I'm looking for something myself!

I ended up just building something out of some wood. I struggled with finding something I liked.

I've mounted the speakers to the side and above the TV, just don't have a picture showing that as well on my Mac at the moment.

I have to ask, why do you have two clocks?

You know, almost no one notices it in real life. I'm always surprised when people can sit on my couch for a few hours and never ask "what's with the two clocks?".

All of my co-workers are in California. I live in Boston. I used to keep a place on both coasts, which is what really caused me to get two clocks everywhere there is one clock--I could never remember which side of the country I was on.

I don't travel as much now, but most of the clocks in my office are Pacific, though some of them are Eastern.

You might think "isn't it easy enough to add/subtract 3 hours" but when you don't know whether to add or subtract, it's easy to mess it up and call people in the middle of the night. :)

46" Bravia
Some Sony HDD/DVD recorder
Some generic 5.1 system
Sky box
Ancient (but by far the best I've seen) region-free DVD player.
And Wii for fun :)

And the old TV stand :D

Look a bit like Sony MDR-V700 to me. Not in the same league as the two you linked.

Ya, they were the MDR-V700's by Sony. The ones you linked are better suited for listening/producing music. The sony's arent the best audio quality, but they're really loud, and great for Dj'ing.

Here's mine:

I'm currently using my 24" Dell as a TV because my 52" POS television took a crap, so i'll be picking up a new one in a week or so.

This is random, but I've been looking for a nice green like yours for our office.
Do you remember the brand and color, by chance?

I figured it was worth a shot in the dark to ask.
Love the setup, is that personal artwork?

I sure do, it's sherwin-williams #6922 Outrageous Green(Fitting name I think)

If I had I had to do it again I would have picked the Electic Lime color, it's got more yellow, the color I have now is cool but it's quite obnoxious.

Some of you guys are killing me with your wiring...how do you sleep at night???:D

My living room gets me by until I can start on my dedicated theater room in a couple years.

Agreed. I can't STAND wires showing! You must have run yours through the wall. Did you use PVC to comply with wiring electrical codes? I was going to do that, but was worried about violations/complexity, etc. I decided instead to rout an inconspicuous piece of wood which the wires would be housed behind and could be easily removed if I needed to add any additional wires, etc.

Here is a photo. This is right after I hung the TV, before I painted the wall and the wood to match each other. It's much more sleek as of right now.
