Here is my the entertainment center for our place. We have a TV in the living room with the cable connected to it and that is where everyone is most of the time. This is more my personal entertainment room, but friends come over to watch movies so it counts.

The collection of Xbox 360 games, Xbox games, Super Nintendo games, Nintendo 64 games, and NES games. The DVD collection is small but slowly growing. Most of my movies are either rented or streamed via NetFlix on my Xbox 360, or streamed from my iMac to my 360.

That does it. The speakers are small - subwoofer is on bottom shelf - but they are good enough for an apartment. The only upgrades I see coming soon are getting a PS3 for Blu-Ray and movie streaming (internet, memory cards, ect) and a new stand for my games and dvds.

Currently I'm using this set-up to play Super Mario 64 and Halo Wars. It is getting close to spring time so I have my bike in my room on a tarp in pieces, hard to move around my room. After spring and into summer is when I'm going to re-do some of my entertainment space with a bed/couch for more room.

My home theater/gaming station.

Sony Bravia Series X 40"
Playstation 3
Xbox 360
Wii
Pioneer HDMI DVD player
DENON 6.1CH Home Theatre
DBDynamics 5.1 standing speakers/sub
Netcomm wifi/5 port ADSL2+ modem

I need another DVD/game rack, I have a bookcase thats holding all of my DVD's/Blu Rays... the only room for my games is next to the Wii/360, looks decent though.

Its a bit messy...

Nice setup, a little too tall for how I'm used to. How are you liking Halo Wars, man I'm loving it but I suck pretty bad. Great all around game though, much better than what I was expecting.

What type of speaker wires are you running? Those things are massive, and i want to get them.

My .02 judging by his stuff. I believe those are cat toys on the bottom shelf, if that is true, then that must mean that bit of carpet between the left speaker and entertainment stand is a scratching pad. So if they have a cat, that means they might have thick insulation to keep the cat from scratching/gnawing them. Either thick insulation or a rubber wire-running tube.

Here's My Home setup 32" Samsung TV, 15" MBP running boxxe, PS3 and logitech x230 speakers

You poor soul, you have BT broadband like I do :( Nice though ;) Hope you don't have your mac up there all the time? :p
(Technically 23.1? if there's 5 speakers each in the corner ones and then 3 in the front one? I dunno) 650W system and blu-ray player, although it's not really presented nicely :/ I also have the spare room upstairs which is my little 'cinema' that has a Sony 32", PS3, 360 Logitech Z-2300 200W. Will post up pics when I get time tomorrow.

haha the BT Broadband is ok apart from the price :p

Nah the mac is not up there much only twice a week for Heroes and Terminator SCC. Mainly use at work, need to get some pics up soon :)

Cheers mate, its actually not that tall, I took the picture from the floor so it might just look like it. Its fine for being on the couch, but we recently brought our mattress into the lounge room because of a killer heatwave we got a few weeks back, the only room with A/C in this house... gotten a bit to comfortable in here I think lol.

And yeah Halo Wars is awesome! Have 600 achievements so far, getting there. Starting playing online and its pretty brutal sometimes, it doesn't work like RTS' that I am used to. You pretty much can't build a defence, the only thing you can do is build an army to defend which I don't really like but it works for the console.
Sucks that the strat you take will be the winning/losing decision you make, either you rush the start or tech...

Mine is still a work-in-progress...

Sanyo PLV-Z2000 1080 projector
100" motorized 16:9 screen built into cabinetry
Sony STR-DE897 7.1 amp (no HDMI inputs, so it's asking to be replaced)
Motorola DCT-3416 DVR
Older DVD/VCR combo
Panasonic BD-35 Blu-Ray Player
Mac-Mini 2.0gHz 2GB/160GB (Will use Plex when I feel like setting it up)
Wii with sensor bar mounted permanently into cabinetry
Slingbox Classic
4-way AV Switcher since I don't have enough inputs (what is it with receivers these days?)
Bose 5.1 speaker system (front speakers built into cabinetry)

Wall panel by seating to plug in iPod, computer, video camera, etc.
Input in bookshelf for iPod.
Soon to have Logitech diNovo Edge wireless kepboard for MacMini
Soon to have Time Capsule for main internet access point/media storage

Lighting is all Insteon controlled by an 8-button wall panel scene selector, and Indigo software on the MacMini (with control from iPhone as well).

All the equipment is in the far right cabinet. Beer fridge is in the far left cabinet. :D

I don't have multiple RAID arrays with shared media around the house and 6.3 TB of music videos and 19 TB of movies and TV shows. I like to keep it simple. :)

I hate you. ;)

Seriously, though, very nice setup! Your setup is pretty much exactly what I wanted to do, but the way my house is configured, a projector just wouldn't have worked out... :(

Thanks for the kind words!!

Except for drywall sanding, which I found out I was pathetic at doing, myself, my wife, and a friend did everything to build it out from an empty studded unfinished room. We did all the walls, cabinetry, painting, carpet, electrical, etc. That saved A LOT of cost. And all our DVDs are bought used, pre-played from video stores, saving a lot there.

So it looks like an extremely expensive room, but barely cost more than a few macs! We love it and spend a lot of time down there!

Nice, Im envious about everything albeit the speakers and amps, get some real speakers bro, you won't regret. :) Think NAD or Rotel in amps, and find some nice hi-fi speakers that cost lest than the Bose's and will obliterate them :p

While my tastes are higher than most, I'm not a super-picky audiophile, so I don't need to have top-of-the-line stuff. Everything works and sounds great to me...and I didn't have to break the bank on it. A quick look at NAD and Rotel prices shows that the amp alone costs as much as everything I have in that cabinet AND the speakers combined. No thanks...I'll make due...but thanks for the info, never heard of those two companies. Cool stuff.

i think this is the best one yet

awesome yet livable

Do you really not have any backups for 25 TBs of movies? What settings did you encode them at?

Also, where did you get the seating from? I'm looking for something just like that.

Note that I said I don't have multiple RAID arrays of stuff...that was a sort of a jab at the people who seem to have full server rooms dedicated to retaining every tv show and movie ever produced. All our movies are on the DVD's you see in the picture. I have not ripped a single one of them....yet. I simply don't have the time or patience to do it currently, but I plan to at some point. And who knows, maybe I will start getting TV seasons, but probably not.

The seating is from American Signature. It's quite comfortable...I've fallen asleep on it more than once! ;)

Whoops...thanks for the link to the seating. How many DVD's do you have?

Just got round to taking some pics. They're not as amazing as some peoples in here, but they do the job ;) Living room needs better arrangement but meh.

In the first three pics, which is the family living room, we've got;

Phillips 42PFL7962D/05, Sky HD, Sony BDP-S550 and a Sony 5.1 Surround Sound System. The amp for the surround sound (which came with it) is broken, so we're gonna buy a new one soon.

In the last pic, that's my room upstairs which is basically a second home theatre. In that I've got;

Sony 32" HDTV, PS3, 360 and a Logitech Z2300 2.1. Might connect more stuff up, but then it would look to cluttered? Would really like the wall mount the TV though, but the design on the back is really bad for mounting.

Also I know I didn't bother tidying up for the living room :p

@ TheRedOx, nice, did you spray the 360?
