What type of speaker wires are you running? Those things are massive, and i want to get them.

No **** right? My speakers won't hold those, they look to be larger than even 1 gauge, unless he is using something like a preamp type plug.

That's WAY bigger than 1 gauge. I've got 0 gauge all up in my trunk for the amps and unless my sense of scale is off on this picture, this is much bigger. It may just be excessive insulation.

Just because the wires are that thick doesn't mean that they terminate in bare ends the same thickness.

Has anyone here ever put their wires into the wall themselves? if so, how did you do it? cause i love my tv set up but the wires hanging down make me want to cry!

Hammer & chisel or dremmel type device if walls are plaster board, cut a chase for the wire to sit in , peg or pin the wire down, without piercing the wire obviously, then use filler or plaster, depending on how thick the cable is and bingo- sealed in wires!. you could call a pro company but this is basically what they will do but they will probably just tack on some BS about some kind of insulation to improve audio quality and charge you a ridiculous fee for what you cab do yourself in less than a day.

but under floorboards is best , no chase to cut and easy fitting .

GREAT article. Monster has sure gotten themselves into the market.

Just a few days ago I was at Best Buy listening to a sales rep tell a customer that he would "never buy those cables." That Monster was the only way to go, even if the price was 30x as much.

and you would trust somebody from bestbuy?

I started a little "remodeling" project. I can't do to much because I am just renting this townhouse. There is a storage space under the stairs, which placed a small door next to my TV. It has always bothered me so I built a shelving unit and took the door off. So now that unit slides into the opening and looks like part of the wall.
I am extremely happy with it because it was my first real project on planing and building something. :p

This weekend the wall gets painted a smokey gray color.

Thats Quite a Lot of Jack Daniels.

Also, is the Table like bowing in the middle? Kinda looks like it.

My home theater/gaming station.

Sony Bravia Series X 40"
Playstation 3
Xbox 360
Wii
Pioneer HDMI DVD player
DENON 6.1CH Home Theatre
DBDynamics 5.1 standing speakers/sub
Netcomm wifi/5 port ADSL2+ modem

I need another DVD/game rack, I have a bookcase thats holding all of my DVD's/Blu Rays... the only room for my games is next to the Wii/360, looks decent though.

Its a bit messy...
