nothing too special

50" Panasonic viera, Bose surround sound, Panasonic Blu ray player, xbox 360 (since replaced with a PS3 down there, while I have my 360 in my room), a nice dvd/bluray rack, mostly DVDs which I upconvert, the only Blurays I got are True Blood Seasons 1+ 2, Entourage Season 2, Pulp Fiction, and Funny People, and then I got Time Warner Digital Cable hooked up.

Equipment is located in a closet around the corner. There is a access to the area behind the TV (in the wall).

Simplicity at it's best. LOVE IT.

(BTW if your front door is behind that wall, my friend has that house, haha)

Also, does anyone know where i can get those thin black mountable "bar shelves" to decorate my wall?

Recent addition as of last weekend, still working on dressing the cables though. Mac Mini running Plex with 4TB HDD space, Tivo HD, and XBox 360 running through a 4x2 HDMI switch, 5.1 with wireless rears, 52" Samsung LCD mounted with a 125" electric screen that drops in front with a 1080P projo mounted on the ceiling.

Setup in the new apartment.

Am loving this. Exactly my style. Simple, modern, minimalist, clean. Perfect. Mine will be similar in this sense. I move in 4 days. I live in Pensacola, FL and we just don't have any brand new apartments around here but yours looks really nice and new. I love apartment life by the way, they only reason I would want a house (right now, as a 20 year old) would be so that I can have a yard to work in but that's about it. Anyway, I really like it.

Thanks man, It still needs a little more work I want to put some floating shelves to the left of the tv and a few other things. I'm liking the apartment thing but i'm already ready for my own house, i'm a contractor so i want to rip the floors out and take walls down and crap that I can't do here, plus having a 5 month old lab with no backyard isn't much fun.

If you don't mind my suggestion, I think the center speaker may be a touch too high. I can certainly respect not wanting to mount it right in the dead center of the hutch above the TV, but I've always understood the center channel to go at head-level, as that's where the dialog comes from.

But don't get me wrong, I love the setup. It's very simple and clean.

Then you also might notice that the side speakers are different distances from center, and at a different height from the center (and each other). Really, most people would never notice the difference, but it could sound odd with some scenes.

@samiwas Yeah I noticed that too, but I think you're right - most people wouldn't notice much of a difference. Explosions at your feet might be a little strange though :p

I agree about the speakers 100% but I don't really have a place to put them level, and I don't want to see any wires and I can't hide them in the walls here. The center channel is defintely too high but I haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. I don't want to drill a hole in the unit.

@Revlefty Hah, I mean it's not like it's a huge deal. I figured it had something to do with not having any better way to arrange them. I can certainly appreciate not wanting a mess of exposed cables.
