Here's a crappy pic of our pretty decent setup. Equipment list:

Samsung 58" 1080p Plasma
Pioneer Elite VSX-45TX Receiver
Sony S470 3D Blu-Ray Player
Pioneer Elite CLD-79 Laserdisc player
Cheapass DVR from Brighthouse
Infinity Interlude IL-50/IL-36/IL-10 speakers

We like it, though we'd like to upgrade the receiver. It's around 6 years old.

Just moved in 2 days ago... still lots of work to be done.... If amazon would have shipped the correct parts it would be sitting over a beautiful Omnimount Echo50LE Entertainment center (Black Lacquer) right now... but, that's not the case, lol... NO IDEA what to do with all those movies.... I was thinking of getting 2 medium sized rotating DVD racks to go on either side (kind of like some people do the standing speakers, but I can't find anything like that anywhere... Will post more pics as I progress.

YIKES!: And those walls are definitely not yellow like the picture shows, lol.
ALSO: I knowwww the TV is not center but the STUPID stud placement forced me to go left or right :(

i saw you post a picture of the omnimount stand in the other thread. that's exactly the sorta stand i've been looking for - something low and minimalist. i'll have to keep an eye on that whenever i get a newer tv.

as for the dvd's - i'm a collector, too, and i've been thinking about getting dvd sleeves and doing away with the cases. http://www.jazzloft.com has some neat ones - holds the cover art, etc. that comes with the dvd so it's easy to browse. just get a box or something to put them in and it'll take up waaaay less space than if they were all in their cases. i like their cd sleeves, too.

Those are some stunning speakers. What line? The drivers look similar to the ones in the Klispch Reference line, but I'm pretty sure those aren't Klipsch. I love the remote control caddy, and the TV stand and armoire are gorgeous.

Nice Infinities, how do you like them?

I thought they were Klipsch too ... i love those..

We've really enjoyed them for the last 7 years or so. They've been super excellent. We've had no desire to upgrade since we got them. I had to turn the subs down a bit since currently we're living in a townhome (I miss my house! :().

If I were buying today, I don't think Infinity is quite as nice as they used to be, though I haven't had a really good listen for awhile. I'd probably get Definitive Technology if I had to replace these Infinities.

DefTech has a great selection and wide line...I love how slimline most of them are. I absolutely LOVE Swan speakers - they're gorgeous and sound unbelievable. I really want to hear the MartinLogan electrostatic speakers...mostly because they look absolutely wild.

This is my parents' living room in Seoul, Korea.

Nice setup, but I can't believe how high they have the L/R speaker setup. Might make for odd sound stage with them so high and the center so low...?

For $189 + Free Shipping it is a STEAL... The black high gloss lacquer makes it look really "high end"... and this is one of those very few times in life where, not only does it look like it does in the picture, but even better... (When you get sent the right parts *cough* AMAZON*cough* Just put it together about 5 minutes ago and it is a beaut! :)

***I must say though, I was on the phone with them for no more than 4 minutes and they shipped me a new one with expedited shipping before I even had to send mine in, no questions. Even though I was pissed and could hardly understand the guy, the level or ease and professional service for the issue was extraordinary.

Link? Gracias

WHO KNOWS why my walls look yellow in the pics... yes, LOTS of work to be done still, but again, I just moved in :)

***And I know that it says 38 inch wide in the title, but it's not it's something like 54. The item description states the right dimensions.

EDIT: wow these pics are garbage... my living room looks great even though it's only 50% complete, I'll post complete pics with my Cyber Shot when complete in a few days. Here is the side so far as well...

Anybody know any good wire hiders? I had this, "paper/cardboard" stuff that stuck to the wall in my old apartment... I'm looking for something where I would "mount" the back piece vertical on the wall and then a second piece would snap over it to make it easy to add/remove wires... anything like this?

Check these:

http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc...splay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Those are the larger versions of the stuff. They carry plenty of smaller stuff as well.

Sam

Just a quick snap. Still need to run out and buy a few more things. I'll post more pictures after but this is my latest addition to my bedroom :)

(Again, sorry for the low light pictures. Just used my iPhone really quick.)

Lowes. They had a much bigger selection than home depot and it was very cheap. They had all the pieces you could possibly need.

Epson 8100 or 8500 either way very nice. I have the 8500 and love it.

My current TV & Home Theater Setup.

There are 2 speakers behind me on each side, and there are 2 speakers on the top left and right side of the TV and there is 1 on the top of the DVD below.

So far I like it, the sound quality is actually amazing.

Hope you like it.

I never understand why people place their right and left fronts so close to their center speaker. This destroys the whole purpose of having 3 fronts in my opinion.

(I know some people simply don't have the space to set them further out)

Hey auero, could you give us some specs of your theatre? What projector you're using, what speakers, receiver, etc? It really looks fantastic.

mine

home-made projector fires at 1080p. Blackout curtains for the entry and the window (though, obviously the window isn't closed at foto time). 'bout a 13' screen.

Dude do you ever get out of bed?? :)

Not unless I must :) The memory foam mattress doesn't help either.

Hey auero, could you give us some specs of your theatre? What projector you're using, what speakers, receiver, etc? It really looks fantastic.

Surely.

Projector: Epson 8100
Screen: Elite Screens Silver Frame Fixed Frame Projection Screen (100" Cine White)
Receiver: Yamaha HTR-6240BL (same exact thing as RX-V465BL)
Font Speakers: Sony SSF-7000
Center Speaker: Sony SS-CN5000
Rear Speakers: Sony SS-B1000
Subwoofer: Sony SA-W3000
Extras: WDTV, Xbox 360, Slingbox Solo, iO DVR

Before you knock the speakers, it's for my bedroom so I didn't want to go all out although I probably would have if I bought the projector first (it was a late addition - came from a plasma). Any-who, the speakers sound fantastic and for the price I paid from Amazon its better and cheaper than most "Home Theater in the Box". I was hesitant about buying them because of the price but I couldn't be happier for what I paid.

Overall, the speakers, receiver, screen, and projector all cost me ~$2100. :)

Updated mine recently, and moved into a new apartment, so time to update!
Still have the 40" Samsung LCD. 360, PS3. Added a Boston Acoustics soundbar for my tv and for my vinyl player. Sounds really awesome. The sub is wireless so thats really nice. Gets really loud with a nice thump. Decided to go with the sound bar since I am in a apartment.

Just updated pics...

Looks great! Is that the 8100 or 8500? Or maybe even 6100 or 6500. How do you like the remote? I was looking at getting one but I heard using the DVR on it was a hassle.
