OK, they have now different deliveries for different BTOs. The 21,5" machines that I checked are 1-3 days. For the 27" it is still 4 days for all HW BTOs.
Few updates.
Elgiganten.se - restocked on the model they were out of, but only by a few, they still have less than 5 of each base model.
Webhallen.com - Only have 1 iMac left, and there's no signs of new shipments coming in, still marked as "supplier out of stock".
Macoteket.se (an official Apple-reseller in Sweden, Premium Reseller) - Completely out of stock in their online-store, there's a handful of a few models in some of their physical stores. Says "Unknown status at Supplier - standard delivery time: Within 2 weeks."
UK UPDATES:
Dixons: ALL iMacs OUT OF STOCK
Pixmania: ALL base iMacs OUT OF STOCK - everything else reduced
PC World: No iMacs available to order online, instore pick-up only
Currys: No iMacs available to order online, instore pick-up only
It's getting closer!![]()
Is it weird that I got a little shiver of excitement on reading that UK stock level post![]()
The four I quoted are, aside from the Apple Store, the biggest Apple retailers in the UK. If none of them have any warehouse stock left and just a few 'in-store' units, we can't be more than a week away from the update![]()
John Lewis has more than 10 units in stock for every iMac model.
Question : Why would Apple allow BTO machines to be processed, if they know that the new model was coming out ,say, next week on the 15th ?
Surely they know that the customer would cancel the order in favour of the new model ? So where's the sense in spending man-hours building a machine that won't be sold ? Doesn't make sense.
I suspect iMac refresh may actually be a lot further off than many of us are hoping ...
booooooo![]()
Every time someone mentions "WWDC" and "iMac" in the same sentence, Scott Forstall punches a kitten.
(Sorry kitty.)
