I was pretty impressed considering this is a phone(I came from an iPhone 5s).

I just want to remind everyone that the iPhone's primary purpose is being a cell phone. I'm satisfied with the camera but then again I'm coming from an iPhone 4 so it's a drastic improvement. I have a DSLR for those times I need really great pictures.

Quite a bit has changed since the iPhone 4. It's quite common to use it for things outside a typical cell phone. Many people use it more to chat, play games, watch videos, browse the web, stream music and take pictures and videos more than simply talk. But hey, if that's how you want to use your phone, then by all means.

For me, it is a computer with a phone built in. I hardly talk on it, mostly text and browse the web... Love the camera!

Thanks mate for the info but i dont know why they messed up the noise reduction control after 5S.... and still not fixed yet..... i mean on closeup's 6's camera is better than 5s's but when you shoot sceneries i cant accept that monet effect on the background.... no issues with 5S camera.

Love your posts about this matter, that's why I never upgraded and it seems it's gonna be the same with the 6s cycle... :/ even the contrast looks bad IMO.

i dunno, i guess my eyes got used to more than 12MP..
these pictures have good colors and look very natural,
but it seems that 12MP is limited, with unsharp results on every picture.
not that it bothers me that much, but it's really obvious.

How about the moon! Shot with 645 Pro app. Manually set the shutter and Iso of the camera.View attachment 586705

hi..
can you maybe take a daylight photo, but with manual control?
not an extreme close up, but with an object around 3-4 feet from you.
2.2 aperture, and adjust the shutter to control the lighting..

i'm curious on how shallow depth of field it can "deliver".

thanks.
