Are all of you using the iPhone with HDR on all the time weather you need it or not? I always do. Fusion HDR is a superb app to use... Just FYI

Fixed your post for clarity.
Aside from that, anyone coming from an iPhone 6 notice much of an increase in detail in photos so far? The pictures I've seen so far don't seem dramatically different from last gen's camera.

Ahhh, thanks. I appreciate that because I totally was telling people how to use their phone. Or better yet, I was simply pointing out that maybe their expectations are too high and, maybe by realizing that the camera is NOT a DSLR, they shouldn't expect DSLR quality.

Not impressed with the new camera for the most part, but it's not bad (definitely capable of getting good shots) and I think video performance will be better than the competition. G4 & S6 OIS tends to warp handheld video. Even the 6S video without OIS (all the 6 models actually) do better for keeping video properly stable.

It's really too bad the new camera doesn't have more of a wow factor, though. I'm seeing lots of blown out highlights in photos and smudginess where there should be detail. Apple better step up their camera game big time for the next release.
Its pretty much the same as 6 with 4k and increased MP. They used the same processing algorithm for noise. makes water color looking images. The 5 was superior.

My old iPhone 5s shoots better quality photos than new iPhone 6s. Can it be camera problem?
Because I use iPhones for taking photos a long time and its strange how it looks so bad even on a mac..

I do. I wish there was an option to just enable it all the time. Constantly having to toggle it on.

Though I struggle with whether I really need to as it def bloats my photos (too lazy to take time to go back through and pick one, plus you can't be sure you picked best one by judging on smaller phone screen. But I'm gonna sit down and go through them either realistically).

I guess in the end I just don't trust it to make the right decision every time. Too many instances when it doesn't auto select when it should.

Nope. The tone of your earlier post implied that you knew better than everyone else and dictated how people should be using their for talking only.

Welcome to your new nightmare this problem is caused by Apple they implemented a noise reduction algorithm, I have a 5s which takes crisp and better pictures, been waiting for this issue to be solved, unfortunately for Apple this seems to be a "feature" and no one seems to notice...

Keeping my 5s for another cycle...
