I enjoy the camera personally.
This is really all that matters at the end of the day. The camera and photo gurus drive themselves crazy with this stuff.

Looks amazing! Except I'd crop out the top quarter of the picture because of that awful monet/water color looking depth of field effect. It's not a smooth blur, it looks smudgy and bad. I don't know what is causing this, whether it is software-related photo processing effects, or if it is an odd characteristic of the sensor. Either way, Apple has done a bad job with that. Everything but blurred backgrounds look awesome. The little bit of depth of field we get due to the larger aperture of the lens looks awful. I wish Apple could go for a lower aperture of like f2.0 or f1.8, but I don't know if that would cause other issues, as I don't know all that much about lenses and such.
I was tripping at first. I wondered if you knew me because how would you know Mia's name. what a coincidence.. haha. this Mia is half chihuahua, half terrier.
and nice pic of her.![]()
^Yours is named Mia too, how funny! Mine is a mix too, but since I got her from SPCA, don't know what it is.

Nope. The tone of your earlier post implied that you knew better than everyone else and dictated how people should be using their for talking only.
I've been in that.![]()
Well there was the rumor about the next iPhone getting two cameras that combine together to stitch a really high MP image and also create enhanced depth of field effects from evaluating the offset between the cameras to create a depth map that can be selectively blurred. So that's likely at least by the 7S. I think A big area of focus going forward will be on brighter low-light photos. They may open up the f/2.2 lens to f/2 or f/1.8. Furthermore Sony is making huge strides in low-light high ISO performance so we should see those improvements make it to future iPhones. There are some great, good and average/poor shots.
So basically, it's a phone camera
History dictates that Apple will stick with this one for a while though, so get used to it!
That Verge comparison was very interesting. The iPhone, Samsung and LG all have very specific strongpoints, all excellent cameras in their own situations.
