Sorry but no way that is 'crisper' than a 5S! I still have mine and have tested them out against my 6+ and 6S+. The new iPhones are notorious for smudgy photos and yours is no exception. It may look better in some areas, but crispness/sharpness ain't one of them! Here's a picture of my cat that I took yesterday. It's not amazing or anything but it is crisper than my 5s took.

My cat @calico_evie on Instagram.
The iPhone 6s really can capture a lot of sharp detail in the right lighting.
It's worth zooming in
Aww!!! She looks like my Miss Kitty that passed away this past spring.
Looks amazing! Except I'd crop out the top quarter of the picture because of that awful monet/water color looking depth of field effect. It's not a smooth blur, it looks smudgy and bad. I don't know what is causing this, whether it is software-related photo processing effects, or if it is an odd characteristic of the sensor. Either way, Apple has done a bad job with that. Everything but blurred backgrounds look awesome. The little bit of depth of field we get due to the larger aperture of the lens looks awful. I wish Apple could go for a lower aperture of like f2.0 or f1.8, but I don't know if that would cause other issues, as I don't know all that much about lenses and such.
the monet effect on the background is still there as i can see...... no fix yet for the agressive noise reduction. Maybe a software choise from apple... still backgrounds on photos taken with 5S are the most crystal clear.

If you want to get the best quality photos from the iPhone, you need to get an app that allows full control of the camera. I recommend 645 pro for lossless compressed tiff images or very high quality jpeg files. You can avoid noise by setting the iOS low!
Thanks mate for the info but i dont know why they messed up the noise reduction control after 5S.... and still not fixed yet..... i mean on closeup's 6's camera is better than 5s's but when you shoot sceneries i cant accept that monet effect on the background.... no issues with 5S camera.
I haven't noticed that yet. I did see it on the 6+ because of the larger pixels, but this 12mp is sweet! There is an app I use regularly called "big photo" and that app allows you to view your images at full resolution, allows you to resize, and see exif data. It's a good app.
