I've just moved to a new apartment, so it's time to update my pics! Click the picture to expand it.

First up is my 17" iMac G4/800/1GB/120GB. It's in our living room, and acts as our stereo with the fantastic-sounding Apple Pro Speakers! My wife thinks it looks decent, and that it sounds even better. I have it on the network so it can access the central iTunes library on our home server. The drive is partitioned for Tiger, Jaguar, Cheetah, and 9.2.2.

Next up, also in the living room, is my G4 Cube. G4/450/768MB/500GB, this little machine works perfectly but is generally just on display on the shelf in our living room. Once again, my wife's a champ for putting up with me displaying computers, so long as they look neat.

Finally, in our den, is my 15" iMac G4/800/1GB/80GB. It also works perfectly, although it too is just used for display. Its drive is partitioned between Leopard, Tiger, Cheetah, and 9.2.2. Note that the speakers with it are actually the special ones for the Cube with the little USB audio box on 'em.

Finally, not on display, are a few other machines. My dual 2.0 G5 that I rarely use due to the heat it pumps out lives in the closet surrounded by my boxed 20" iMac G5/1.8/2GB/250GB and boxed 14" iBook G4/1.42/1.5GB/60GB. And the 12" PowerBook G4/1.5/1.25GB/32GB that got me though college is always floating around somewhere, normally being used for The Sims.

Updates…

This time around showing my PowerMac G3 server. Also, you will note (only if you've been paying attention) that there is a swap in monitors for my Quad. The previous display to the right of the main Cinema Display has been replaced with a larger Acer monitor (given to me by my next door neighbor). The old HDMI monitor is now attached to my 2.3DC (see bottom right of the pic) maxing out the 2.3DC with four displays (I have two video cards in this Mac).

Also, you'll note the shelf the 2006 17" MBP is sitting on. An addition I did a while back.

EDIT: Couple of other views. That external drive is connected to my PC laptop and is 3TB.

My new G4 Cube setup. Came with the speakers, software package (including Appleworks 6) and manual. Nasty, crusty keyboard is mine (he forgot to ship the one that came with this, but it's on its way), and I can't locate my black Pro Mouse at the moment-

As soon as I figure out how to arrange all of my Macs and video game equipment, I'll set everything up for an updated beauty shot...

(Ugh. That dirty Marvin the Martian mouse pad has to go...)

I can recall paying $50 for that mouse brand new. One of the first Apple products I ever purchased new from a retail store (Fry's Electronics).

That said, the wired Mighty Mouse you have there is my preferred mouse. I do graphic design all day and wireless mice are just touchy, jumpy and bulky to push around. I do have a wireless Mighty Mouse for my 2.3DC G5, but I much prefer the wired version.

And that roller ball makes folder navigation and web browser scrolling dead easy.

With the Pro Mouse you're going to have to click and drag on scroll bars. ;)

I just wanted it for the picture ;P I don't actually use them anymore. I've got 4-5 of them laying around in black and white, but could only find the white ones tonight...

Here's something to have it play in the background... ;)

I have the ISO of that loop on my backup drives. Unfortunately, my Cube will only run the Classic Mac OS up to 9.0.4. Anything after that and it gets weird and cantankerous, so I just removed Classic altogether.

This was the setup that got me through most of college, picture taken around 2007. My G4/500DP (Gigabit Ethernet) served me well as my desktop through high school and the first part of college, and was later replaced by a 2009 mini when those came out, as seen in the second pic dated from around 2010. The 12” PowerBook 1.5GHz was a gift to myself for college, and served me well through the entirety of my computer science degree. I still have my G4 tower, although it doesn’t get booted up much any more. I also still have my PowerBook, and it is used as a writing machine as well as my go-to PowerPC machine for old games.

The SE was there for super old games and general piddling around with.

I had looked for that thread and couldn't find it so I made my own... It could probably be merged then or I could repost there. If not I could make this thread more of a mid 2000s setups thread (2004-07)
Yeah, it's always a hassle to find. I usually do a search (just this forum) for "post your powerpc setup". Most of the time it's on the second or third page of the results.

A great set-up in general but Head Over Heels running on the PCW particularly got my attention! :D
Well spotted. Best version of the game, in my opinion, if a tad on the green side. My other hobby - aside from powerpc macs - is collecting increasingly hard-to-find Amstrad PCW software.
