Now that I've collected all the peripherals I wanted, I thought it would be worth sharing a 'blueberry' glamour shot (with a few other blues chucked in :) )

Running a bit out of space, so some of my PPC machines are sort of in semi permanent storage...
Gotta get them out once, every other month or so, give them a lookover (no leaking batteries os stuff like that) and start them up, making sure all the moving parts still move :)

Did just that this afternoon...

Whipped out the iMac G4 and the PowerPC G5 with Apple Cinema Display...
Wanted to take advantage of getting Leopard on the G5, but hitting a brick wall tring to boot from the USB Leopard installer.
Tried through Open Firmware and everything but no dice. Simply won't boot from the USB.
Looks like the USB thumbdrive is correctly loaded though, as when I insert it (while running Tiger) it immediately pops up the Leopard DVD installer window.
No empty Dual Layer DVD's lying around, so can't burn the DVD installer either.

So, as I was running out of time, for now postponed to the next time I take it out....

Haha, you almost got it! Didn't expect someone to actually name all of them. Those 3 Snow iBooks under the desk are G3s and the one on top of the IBM desktop (with the taped logo, yes because it's missing) is a G4. Also you missed one ThinkPad ;). X220T ThinkPad on the main desk, X41T and a X60T on top of each other next to the iPods and the X41T on the printer. You got the iPods correct except the Touch which is a 32 GB 4th gen and the black 6th gen. Yep, that's a DSi on the bottom and the phone isn't a BlackBerry but a Nokia E71.

23" Cinema Display and 12" Powerbook (1.5Ghz).

I just switched out my 4k LG Display that I never really liked anyways and now use that Cinema Display for my job (with that 2019 MBP on the left though).

Yes, those are Logitech peripherals, and no I won't change those :D

yeah, it's weird....????? even the Bruce Springsteen biography is more interest that the Brother printer...(just kidding, love The Boss and the book is great!)
the printer is the B7520DW.

it was tailor made in a furniture factory. I designed it with the right dimensions to fit the Macs and send it to a factory near home. they made the structure in steel and cut the wood panels.

You can still use them for good internet browsing? I tried mine with Leopard and it was awful. Most of the websites weren't loading, always error etc.

I tried TFF but I think i only found the G5 version on their page. Sadly that browser isn't supported anymore. Do you maybe have a direct link for a G4 version that 100% works?

It's still far more compatible than Safari/WebKit. Here's the link:

Use Safari/WebKit on sites that still work as it is fast, for others use TFF/InterWeb (and their sister Fox Box apps) - if it's largely a text based site, Links2 is stupidly fast even on modest hardware and is the most up to date browser:

InterWeb loads the very most of the websites.

I use it with uBlock and deactivated Javascript by default and only enable it if a website actually needs it. That way it's pretty fast on my G4 1,5Ghz.
