Here are the flaws that I've noticed since installing last night:

The only problems I've noticed so far are:
  • Spaces won't activate with its assigned keyboard shortcut (F6). It's pretty annoying, as I use it constantly. Check out this thread for details. So far, no on has offered any solutions.

Weird, but the F6 keyboard shortcut now works. I did a 'restart', and it started working.

It's weird because this is the 3rd restart that I've done since I installed 10.6, and the 2nd one that I've done since updating to 10.6.1.

I'm just glad it works now.

One down.......

Crash with blue screen

Three times my MacBook Pro has simply crashed. The screen goes blue, then Finder returns, but all programs (and work) are gone. I've reset Pram, checked the disks, etc. Has anyone else seen anything like this?
Typically I'm working in Word 2004 when it happens, but I had iTunes, Safari, Eudora, iCal, and Acrobat Pro all running at the time.

Word 2004 bugs?

Suddenly in Snow Leopard, when I select more than one word of text and hit backspace or try to type some new text, the selected text is not deleted. Anyone seen this one?

For me, I'm having a lot of performance issues.

I have a lot of beach balling in all applications.

Also, dragging items on the desktop has a lot jerkyness.

A few minutes ago, I was having trouble with my dock jumping up and down with the mouse over it. I even took my hand off the mouse and it continued to jump up and down.

I'll try to get some screen recordings to youtube.

Four problems

1) Lost Address Book contacts - needed to restore from backup
2) Time Machine not always displaying old backups (made fixing problem one a problem!)
3) Sound keeps getting reset to mute after rebooting
4) It keeps wanting to close Safari after 30 minutes of inactivity

...Numbers 3 & 4 still continue post 10.6.1.

I found I had to delete my old backups in order for Time Machine to work. Shouldn't have to do it, but it did fix it for me.

Issues with 10.6.1

I have a pair of USB 500G drives in a Disk Utility software mirror raid. every time I turn them on, I get a window shade Lockup. If the drives are on while the computer boots I get a kernel panic. and this is on every computer I installed 10.6.1 on.

I also have issues with some of my games. Some games telling me that I need to reinstall since there is an issue with my Reg code. In others the Graphics are messed up.

so far I am regretting updating to SL. What Vista did to Microsoft, SL is going to do to Apple.

Does not recognize SD card

Inserted SD card into IOGear reader - displayed icon on desktop, however OSX would not recognized any of the folders or files. Tried to Eject the SD card with no response. Finally pulled the card from the reader and had to restart OSX for icon to disappear

iMac Hangs on Shutdown

Updated to 10.6.1 and have not been able to shutdown. Have to use the poet button to turn off.

I installed Snow Leopard last week, and I just noticed this problem a few minutes ago. The capital letter M has been replaced by a capital J in some places.

I was using Word 2008, and it unexpectedly quit. Which happens a lot with Word regardless of the OS. ;) I noticed that the letter "M" had been replaced with a "J" in the box that came up to send a report to Microsoft. There was a "Send" button and a "Don't Send" button, as well as one that said "More Information." Except it said "J ore Information."

I also noticed the same thing when I took a screenshot of this box and tried to save it with a filename that included a capital M. When I typed a capital M, it came out as a capital J in the text field for the filename. It took a lowercase m, but not a capital.

I was in Yahoo! mail and the title of my page had the same problem.

Then I saw the same thing in the page heading on this site. Instead of saying "Mac Forums," it says "J ac Forums," and it looks like there's a space between the J and the ac. Probably because capital Ms are wide.

I tried uploading screenshots to photobucket to link here, but it wouldn't let me. And in the heading for the pop-up window to Manage Attachments on these forums, the M in Manage was a J.

It only seems to happen with page titles and buttons to click. Has anyone else had this problem?

Flash crashes constantly, it is really annoying,§ even after 10.6.1 update.

Snow Leopard and Airport Express

After loading Snow Leopard, I cannot print to my HP LaserJet 1010 printer via Airport Express. I have downloaded latest printer driver but with no success (although I can print via USB port). Other printers connected via AE seem to work OK. Any ideas on how to fix?

FF and Safari crash constantly during file uploads (i.e simple images to Facebook). Other programs become depressingly slow or crash or bluescreen.

SL reminds me of Windows 3.1. I want my $30 back.

Same here, feel I totally wasted 30 bucks.

You wont in a few months.
Why not?

OS X is pretty much crippled for me right now under Snow Leopard. Not to mention the hardware runs hotter regardless of SMC and PRAM resetting.

Leopard didn't have these game breakers like Snow Leopard does. You don't care about 0 new features when your browser doesn't work and 30 minutes are shaved off of your battery life.

I'm not sure if this was posted before.
After clicking on some of the websites on my "Top Sites" this is what shows up for about 2 seconds.

It happens only to some websites, for example: www.gizmodo.com

All of my issues were fixed in 10.6.1, all i did after it was installed was verify and repair all the disk permissions. Flash still sucks but i cant blame Apple for that one, that's all Adobe.

MKV seem solved with 10.6.1

At least in macmini.... the problem seem solved...
now the movie movement is fluent.. before was stuttered

well, I've come to find that SL often hangs when moving files to my external HD. and in the end disconnecting from it. of course, every time I re-plug my external HD , I get the message I didn't disconnect properly. and this has happened at least 5 times. lucky I copy instead of cut and paste. anyone else who has this problem too? and maybe a fix?

So far the following programs have crashed in Snow Leopard.

Safari 4.0.3
Photoshop CS4
iPhoto 8.0
SimCity 4 Rush Hour
iTunes 9.0

The following also happens:

Can no longer add pages to PDFs in Preview (can add but can't save)
Shift+Click works the same as command+click
