I dont think it's ugly. I just think its very uninspired. Usually, a full vresion number change of the iPhone has brought about it a redesign. The 3-4-5-6 have all have different looks to them. But if this is the real 7, it looks to be a minor iterative changes to address complaints people had instead of attempting a new design. Thats what I'm not too sure of and doesn't really impress me.

this is more like.. a 7ss

How many smart connectors, protruding cameras and obvious antenna lines can Apple add to an iPhone to render the device ugly? Just one of the above, that's all. Can't innovate and clearly can't design no longer. Apple, get in contact with me, I have some great design ideas that speak to the design language of your past and of the future. Unfortunately this possible device is sadly atrocious. There is no differentiation between Apple and it's main competitors. Just awful design. Steve Jobs would have hated what is happening with product design today at Apple. So sad.

The resemblance is uncanny.

Nahh... This is uncanny.

Looks piss ugly. The Galaxy S7 Edge easily wipes the floor with this design.I cant believe I am saying this now but the design WITH the antenna bands looked more appealing. This looks bland

right? very bland. If only i knew this was real i would get the S7 Edge asap and use my 6 for my iOS needs. also it looks as unneccessary huge as ever thanks to those freaking bezels i assume r still on the front but hey at least its thinner!

Everybody says no bloody way this is the final look. But when it IS the final look, sales figures will say otherwise.
Sales mean nothing. A crappy design is still a crappy design no matter how many people buy it. It's more a reflection on the people who buy such awful and unresolved designs, they simply have no taste.

If forced to choose, I'd rather see image stabilization on the 4.7" iPhone than dual cameras.

Hardware based image stabilization is overrated. I went from an iPhone 6 (RIP), to a LG G4. The hardware based stabilization is far worse than it was on the iPhone 6's software stabilization. Most of the stabilization is done through software and cropping.

Here's a comparison showing two cameras with OIS, yet they have completely different results:

While I much prefer the clarity of the Samsung camera, the shaking and rough panning is pretty noticeable compared to how smooth the 6s Plus moves along.

Sorry for this simple question... but why they keep doing a thinner iPhone that has terrible camera bump? I do prefer a thicker iPhone (maybe 1-2 mm thicker) but without this camera bump and maybe a better battery (and even a more solid iPhone)
Is it a terrible request? Am I the only one that is looking for this?

The first possible real photo of the iPhone 7 Plus has surfaced on Chinese website Bastille Post, providing a closer look at the design of the upcoming smartphone.

The most notable change is the inclusion of a much-rumored dual-lens camera with a protruding, pill-shaped enclosure, as opposed to two separate circular camera openings depicted in some online renderings.

Rumors are conflicting about whether the iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, or both smartphones will have dual cameras, but it now appears that at least one model may not have a completely flush camera as originally expected.

Meh

Well if this thread is any indication of what the masses want I guess Apple better hire 100 designers to make the back of the next iPhone sexier.

I have to say I prefer the bands running on the back of the phone, it looks uninspiring and very tacky with the dual lens. I really was expecting a new body form and not something so similar to the 6.

It doesn't matter how "incredible, "magical" or "inspiring" the photos it produces are, if that's the next iPhone with THAT camera bulge, it's a fairly shocking release from a company that claimed to be so obsessed with clean design.
The problem is that there is minimal size required for the camera and you have to design around it - just about every high end Android phone has a bulge and nobody is loosing their mind about that
