Does the Power Support version keep the 'feel' of the naked iPhone? I've had most versions of the iPhone and feel this one real loses out by being put in a case. Every time I take it out of the Apple silicone case I have I'm reminded how much nicer it is without a case.

I feel that it does, especially as I used a clunky-ish TPU case while I waited for my Air Jacket. It also adds some much needed grip, via the rubberised surface, plus the button cutouts. It's a great case (except for the ever so slight movement I have on the power button side.

The only problem with the case is that the sides creak so it is not so tight fit than it seems. I love the case but the creaking drives my ocd nuts so I don't use it

take a look at the bottom of the case! its not what they are selling at their website!

Good spot. Yeah that's the version they are selling in the Apple stores and not the original PowerSupport version they sell.

Nice to get some good close ups of the Apple version of the case though as you can see the bigger lip round the edges as well. Not for me though - I prefer the slimmer original version....

but if its apple version, why PS use it if they are not selling it? pure stupidity.

if they went out with new version but still selling the old version to get rid of their stock it will be very very annoying.

Agreed, like you say its hard to tell if this was just a stupid mistake or if the new apple version is going to eventually replace the older one everywhere. I might have to get the black rubber version (old style) ordered now just in case :)

why you prefer the old version?

im sure that 30,000 of 52,000 views of that thread were made by PS ppl, which looking for rejects.

I prefer the slimmer profile with hardly any lip around the edges. I know some people like a lip so they can place the phone face down but its not something that bothers me. I also prefer the "dip" in the corner versus the cut out on the Apple version.

I have the clear version for the iPhone 6 and its great with no issues at all (I sense a lot of the issues being seen are with the 6 Plus version). Its just at some point I know the scratches will build up on the clear case and annoy me so i'll swap to the black version at that point.

I have the 6+ Space Grey... which colour case would you recommend? I'm going to stay away from the clear this time as I found it a little slick on my 5S.

So I guess that leaves clear matte, smoke, and black. I'm leaning towards clear matte, but for those of you with Space Grey maybe you can chip in your thoughts :)

Thanks!

I like smoke on space grey, but if dust in the case bothers you too much, get the black one

What colour would you guys recommend for the Gold 6+?

I'm leading towards the clear, but worried about those ugly micro-scratches all over the case after a few months.

----------

The Apple retail sites in some countries already have it but not all. They're still not on the UK site or UK Apple stores for example.
They're in the UK already.

I think I was the first to mention the new case in this thread when I spotted it last week at the Bullring Store in Birmingham.

They had it in all variants too.

Those who have both the Clear/Matte and Rubber Air Jacket, is the rubber version thicker than the Clear/Matte or do they have the same thickness?

They are also in the New York 5th Avenue store now. I tried it on in the store but did not like the added lip. The fit is perfect but does not feel as good in hand as the original Air Jacket. But for people who want that added protection its a great option. It had no creaking issue at all.

The Apple Store in Brent Cross here in London didn't have any when I went there last Saturday. Mind you it's a relatively small Apple Store. I haven't tried the bigger ones in Regent Street and Covent Garden though. I might go have a look there sometime in the next few days.

I received my PS case on Friday. Not a huge fan of it, might end up selling it for a little less than retail. Smoke for the 6 +. PM me if anyone is interested, I took it out of the box to try it on and put it back, so it's basically brand new.

Just received the Apple version, Clear Matte and I now have both.

The Apple version has more coverage but one thing I liked about the PS version was that it had a slimmer profile than the Apple leather case I'd been using before – with the Air Jacket on I felt like I could still appreciate the slimness of the iPhone 6 Plus.

With the Apple version, the thickness is the same as the Apple cases – and the raised lip, while more protective, actually feels slightly uncomfortable in the hand.

I'll have to figure out which one I'm keeping - and it's really a question of feel in the hand vs. extra drop protection ...

Ordered a black PSAJ for my space grey 6 from their website 3-4 weeks ago and have yet to receive it (i'm in Australia). Walked to the Apple store at lunch and picked up a clear matte (AU$35) which they've only recently started stocking. Must say i am impressed! Was a bit hesitant with this one or the clear smoke version and still am though. Would like the phone to be darker with the case on but this matches the light colour of the space grey much better. Fit is spot on, no creaks or camera issues. The slit is vertical rather then cutout in the corner. The extra lip is good as i also have the edge to edge Benks OKR+ tempered glass protector on and now the straight edge is completely hidden. The case's lip is still higher then the tempered glass protector, so face down it is still protected. Hopefully my black AJ will arrived within the next 2 weeks so i can compare both and return the matte clear if i have to. Taking the case off is a little tricky, but as most have mentioned here, it's all about technique. Might try on the smoke one in a few days and decide between the two. Grip i suspect is also better on the matte and black cases, and so would scratchproofness. Hope this helps.

Does the version not sold by Apple have any front protection at all if I place my phone upside down? (without a glass protector)

From what I understand, it does... but very minimal, hence the Apple one (Air Jacket Force) increased it by 1mm or something.

Got the Apple version today and I like it a lot. I got the clear matte for the silver iPhone 6 and I think it's a good match. I prefer it to the Apple silicone I had that was grey. Fit is superb, no issues. If I had to pick a fault it would be that the lip is a little higher than I would prefer and almost sharp. Looking forward to comparing it to the original version when it arrives.

Agree with you that Clear Matte really goes well with the silver iPhone 6/6 Plus.

Some pics of the case
