Good spot. Yeah that's the version they are selling in the Apple stores and not the original PowerSupport version they sell.

Nice to get some good close ups of the Apple version of the case though as you can see the bigger lip round the edges as well. Not for me though - I prefer the slimmer original version....

I prefer the slimmer profile with hardly any lip around the edges. I know some people like a lip so they can place the phone face down but its not something that bothers me. I also prefer the "dip" in the corner versus the cut out on the Apple version.

I have the clear version for the iPhone 6 and its great with no issues at all (I sense a lot of the issues being seen are with the 6 Plus version). Its just at some point I know the scratches will build up on the clear case and annoy me so i'll swap to the black version at that point.

BUT now after finding out that there are two versions I'm faced with a dilemma.

I went to the Apple Store to compare my current ORIGINAL Smoke Air Jacket vs the Apple version on my iPhone 6 Plus Space Gray. They only had the Clear and Clear Matte in stock. No Smoke in stock

After trying the Clear Apple Version on my phone in the store I actually prefer the Clear Air Jacket over the Smoke Air Jacket on my Space Gray iPhone 6 Plus

So, now I need to order a Clear Air Jacket on the Power Support website. But I'm gonna call first to confirm I can still get the ORIGINAL case not the Apple version.

if they went out with new version but still selling the old version to get rid of their stock it will be very very annoying.

Agreed, like you say its hard to tell if this was just a stupid mistake or if the new apple version is going to eventually replace the older one everywhere. I might have to get the black rubber version (old style) ordered now just in case

To rest both your concerns and mine. Today, before I ordered my Clear Air Jacket for my iPhone 6 Plus Space Gray I called customer support on Power Support website. Greg assured me that the Air Jacket Force cases sold at Apple Stores are different than what they sell on their website. And that the Apple Store version WILL NOT be sold via the website. The Air Jacket Force cases are exclusive to Apple Stores.

The Apple store i bought my clear had the black one as well.

I've received my black AJ from online and man... this is going to be a hard decision... the online (original - non-Force version) are definitely thinner and lighter. No noticeable lip over my tempered glass protector (which is fine) and really good fit. Easier to put on then the Force version as well. Going to be hard to decide between the 2...

Retains the look and feel of the naked iPhone but adds grip and protects the camera. Minimal lip just as I like it and the clear matte is perfect for the silver iPhone 6. For me the search is over.

I think I'm just the opposite - I have the original one without the lip and don't like it. Needs a lip in front. I plan to pick up the Apple version if I can find one.

My original Smoke AJ should be coming in today, I returned the Apple one, as I found the lip pretty annoying as it has a rather edgy and sharp feel to it. Personal preference I suppose.

I have the Apple leather case, because there is no cover on the lip there is a slight scratch. Barely noticeable but I can see it.
I went to Apple picked up this case and wow I love it. Covers everything. Feels like it's barely there! I got the smoke color so it looks weird on my white phone I'll return it to get the clear one!

Contrary to my earlier confident statement that the original PS version was my grail case after a few days I noticed a creaking at the bottom lip and it not being as tight a fit as I'd like. I've gone back to the Apple Store version which is very tight fitting.

Hi, I'd like to point out while this is a brilliant case with a snug fit and very user friendly, my clear matte for the iPhone 6 plus has turned an awful yellow after just 3 days of use ! I'm in the midst of demanding an exchange with the premium reseller i got it from ( going for a black this time ? never had faith in any clear cases ). Just a heads up.

Some yellowing, a couple dark spots and a few dark blue stains which I'm assuming is from carrying the phone in the pocket of my jeans.

I attempted to clean it several times, even tried taking a magic eraser to it and nothing worked.

I took a quick look at these cases at the Apple Store recently. Not very much to them. The clear one caught my eye. How easy do these things scratch up? On the clear one, does dust get inside the case easily?

You're mistaking me for another user, that's not my picture. My case was purchased directly from Power Support here in the states, same staining issues.

No worries. My best guess is that the Matte finish somehow makes the case porous which leaves it susceptible to picking up stains.

Right so I brought my case back to the store and the manager did a swap for me and now i have the black AJ. He agreed that the yellowing was rather severe and was definitely not something he had ever seen from PS. well i'm glad that he settled this for me no frills HAHAH on a side note the black is beginning to grow on me. The stark contrast between the black and the space grey gives it a sleek premium look imho. Having owned both colours i feel that the black would definitely be more practical in the long run. Sure, you lose the apple logo but at least i don't worry about where i place my phone
PS; Mine has the slight creek below the lock button; seems like a fairly common issue. Too occupied with the screen to bother HEHE

Hi Guys

Just to add to this, I took my second clear matt Apple Store version back yesterday. I had the case a week and it started creaking on the right hand side which was very annoying. I think that what is happening is that the case stretches when removing (I followed the video) which then causes the creaking when installed back to the phone. I had removed it twice, the second time was to clear all the dust which had got between the case and the phone...

The first one I returned had black dots marked in the plastic.

Not very impressed as I had the 5s model before this which was very good. I was looking forward to the 6 version but I have given up.

Glad the Apple Store has 14 day returns policy.
