Pre order on orange (UK)

Haha, not that sad, it won't be long before I do, have the constant urge to phone up and ask more questions. Restraining myself though, don't want them to get annoyed and purposely hold back my 4S
Hopefully when we get the text we get a tracking number so we can look it up on ukmail's website.
Yeah i also got told it may take unto 30days but i think they just have to say that for what ever phone you order.
Just checked my bank and it did indeed go out yesterday afternoon. Brilliant.
Let us know what they say if you get anything interesting out of them!
Oh What?! A week?! That's not fair. Not impressed. Sorry about that. Think I might phone now, see what they say. If they tell me it will be a week I will be very unimpressed. You ordered Saturday, right? You'd have thought they'd still be in stock by then. Ah well. I suppose we'll live. Was just hoping to have it before I went to visit my parents.
Okay phoned up and the guy said when I asked him at the end when we'll be getting it, "it's released on the 14th so it'll be either then or the day after". Don't really believe him, as I don't think he even asked when I'd ordered it or anything like that, but it gives me hope lol. So sad.
Haha. My orange store was DEAD when I ordered. . .Orange aren't massively popular here in NI. . .So I'm hoping I'm lucky enough to get one on launch day. If not then oh well.

I too am hoping for a text Thursday, I pre-ordered over the phone on pre-order day, around 8.30am... I can confirm also that the charge for the phone has been fully billed to my card.

That's about the time I ordered too. Took me a while to notice that I had to scroll down the page... Duh! Felt very stupid, I'd been sat there refreshing the page for about an hour previously waiting for it to go live!
Right, I'm officially a loser. Called again to try and get a reference/tracking number but to no avail. I did however find out that they are getting stock in tomorrow, and the first deliveries will be on Friday. So there is some hope. She sounded like she knew what she was talking about too. If not Friday, she said Monday or Tuesday.

Other threads have talked about tracking UPS using order numbers etc, is there any way to do this through ukmail.biz which is what I have been told is the courier? Would be interesting to find out.
Just had a call from my local store arranging a time for Friday morning collection.
So i cancelled my pre order.
I was meant to be getting 25% employee discount for the fire and rescue service but she then proceeded to tell me i couldnt have it any more they have changed there minds.

I was meant to get 10% discount from Orange as the big shopping centre I work in has a discount pass but Orange said they scrapped it.
I didn't get a call today from my local store though so you were lucky!

Had a few problems with Orange in the past few hours so ended up speaking to there executive office.
Long and short of it .. i spoke to my local store, after the exec office had called them for a chat.
Store manager told me that ALL there iPhone 4S Pre Orders are in store stock rooms NOW. He is physically standing there looking at mine as we speak!
I will have mine at 8AM Friday morning.
He even said i havnt a clue what you did sir but we had a phone call from the head legal dept at Orange so youve really put the cat amongst the pidgeons.
Anybody who was expecting a 25% loyalty discount but has been told they cannot have it. Refer to point 2.1 of there terms and conditions.
Any pre orders made before 11/10/2011 have to be honoured with 25% off.

No no. . .im sure the orange guy in the store is thankful you got the big bosses on to it as that poor orange guy would have had to face the brunt of all the customers who he had to tell we're no longer entitled to discount.
The customer advisors have to do the dirty work that big bosses can shy away from (by deciding to cancel these discounts knowing they personally don't have to deliver the news to the customer) . . .so you've made his job a little easier by allowing him to honor 25% discounts
At least everyone who pre ordered at that store got an iPhone. . .hopefully the same for me, maybe a wee call tomorrow

Yeah, the PERK discount is stopping on the 4S. Still applicable on other handsets and the 4 (unless that's changed since yesterday, not back in work till Sats now).
