Any loyalty discounts that were applied should stay on the account when you upgrade. In regards to upgrading to an iPhone, the loyalty discount will stay at the same figure, e.g 10% but will not be increased.

It said under my account online, that if I upgraded my phone and signed a new contract, I would get a 10% line rental discount. When I phoned up to pre order however, I was told that this couldn't be applied to the iPhone 4s. Is this not right then?

All 3 formats, store, internet and telephone all work completely differently. In store, if the discount if already on and you want an iPhone 4S, it stays on there. If you didn't have it previously, then you don't get it.
Could you not wait till online upgrades for iPhones are available? You may still get it then!
Still haven't received my text and ordered at around 11am on the 7th.
There's an Orange store no more than 100 metres from my office - if they can get it there for the 14th, surely they can dispatch mine! This is so sad....I'd like to think it's solely because the HTC Desire I'm using now is a radio processor away from being a paperweight.....with no battery.....and bits falling off it.

I haven't received a text either, but on the Orange Twitter feed (Orange Helpers I think), they said that preorders would start arriving Friday. They seemed pretty confident that most of the preorders they took up until today should be there on Friday or Saturday. I hope so, anyway!
I ordered mine in store. . .ill leave a post in this thread if I'm lucky enough to get a text tomorrow about it arriving. 🙂

Not yet. I think I read somewhere (no idea where) that the text might actually be tomorrow morning. I hope that's wrong. I was told today, so I'm sticking to that!

I spoke to Orange again today and they asked "have you had a text from the courier" to which I said no.
Then they went back to telling me up to 30 days, whats annoying is they have no idea whats happening, you would think they'd be able to call the order up and see when its being dispatched.

Fingers crossed we hear something soon. I'm getting very impatient. Installed iOS 5 on my iPad, but told myself I'd wait for the 4S to experience it on a phone. Now I'm really desperate for the notifications!

I read that they have enough stock to cover up to yesterday, so we should both get it tomorrow (they said maybe Saturday at the latest I think).

I've had every iPhone apart from the 3G so you would think the excitement would've worn off but it hasn't lol

I doubt it if you didn't pre order, you are probably better off going to an Apple store if one is close enough to you!
This is true. Sorry, was thinking more about the upgrading in store part, not stock levels!

I'm waiting on @Orangehelpers to get back to me, they are checking my order ref with someone they know in the sales team to see if they can get any further information about the delivery. I ordered on 11/10 so should be ok as (previously said) they have indicated that all pre-orders upto 12/10 will ship

Me neither! Although when I phoned up earlier this week they did say it had gone through. I'd like an order number though... Or even better, a tracking number haha.
