Fun!

So what exactly does that mean?

It says -
I hate jailbreaking; it voids my warranty; I stay stock because apple no need jailbreak.

Great news for people on older devices, but there was already the semi-tether which worked pretty well. 4S and iPad 2 owners will have to remain patient.

I don't really care about jailbreaking my 4S (all I'll really do for that is install Locktopus and change my carrier name to something else).

The iPad 2 though....:(

4.3.3 is getting depressing.

that's an error that your device wasn't properly put in DFU before the restore.

Try putting it in DFU again, maybe use redsn0w to help you?

Well the error comes up after iTunes recognized it was in recovery mode. I'm trying it on another computer since some say error 21 is a security software issue. I had little snitch installed a long time ago and my not have completely removed it. We'll see.

ok, good luck. Sometimes even just a reboot of the machine after you download the jailbreak tools and/or ipsw files can help to eliminate errors. Let us know how it goes on the other computer.

It worked from the other computer. It's plugged back into mine now and is restoring from backup. At least I know the issue was software based on the computer side and not something wrong with the phone. I wonder if a reinstall of iTunes would solve it? I'm sure little traces of little snitch are at the root cause.

yeah it's hard to know exactly what the problem is, but sometimes you just have to do a reinstall, restart, or try from another computer. Most important part is that you got your phone jailbroken. :D

Well not there yet lol. Currently installing all my data, then ill jailbreak.

It's great that there is untether iOS5 jailbreak out for A4 devices and lower.

Now only A5 JB left until all devices to be jailbroken. Apple finally losing it on their end of the cat and mouse game. GOOD!

I can't wait for MiWi, and a way to force EDGE!

I wish we didn't have to go thru all this crap just to make a phone that we paid for, (not renting) more productive and more customizable -
