I don’t want my apps closing when I’m switching between YouTube, Safari, Notes, Reminders, Procreate, Affinity Photo, Twitch, Netflix, etc throughout the day. I want them to remembered. It’s a hindrance when apps reload and I lose my spot.

Properly written iOS apps don't need to be held in RAM to remember state - perhaps you should complain to the vendors of your incorrectly written apps?

They. Did. Not. Have. This. Issue. Before. iOS. 13.

Apple did something to cause this issue and they haven’t resolved this since iOS 13.0 beta 1. Even their own apps are affected by this.

It doesn’t look like Apple fixed this issue for me. Ugh. Safari just reloaded after trying to open an app on the home screen to have it appear in the recents dock so I can drag it up to multitask with Safari.

disappointed. I’m seriously considering switching now

Nope, no going back. You said if it wasn't fixed you were switching.

These "issues" often turn out to be hidden features that Apple does intentionally for some reason.

I bet the cause is that they bloated 13.x entirely, leaving far less room in memory for any applications, including their own. So, they have to be far more aggressive in memory management so the foreground applications don't crash. It could well be that there are multiple memory leaks that are the source of all this pain. I certainly hope it's as simple as that.

Fixed or covered up? Guess we will find out.

Suspect Apple likes to keep DRAM minimal to squeeze more profit but OS and feature bloat pushed memory usage beyond threshold of tolerable experience. 4GB is what comes in lower end ~$200 phones.

Damn straight. You know what it is!!!

I think Apple's taken the idea that humans can't really multitask (true) and extended it to iOS. I wonder if machine learning has anything to do with this. Who says it's always going to learn the GOOD things we can do, after all?

Well apps like YouTube and Safari instantly reload sometimes when I just leave the app and quickly go back to it. I think it’s a bug.

They should fix network dropping after receiving a call while lte/4g is enabled! i had to set it back to 3g to be able to receive calls, i still dont understand how they dont fix such a big bug

This is so disappointing. Instead of adding screen time features, Apple, actually fix the most annoying feature ever!!!!!

Especially on an iPad that is suppose to be a computer replacement according to Tim Apple. I’m able to have multiple apps and multiple windows open with out a problem on my 6 year old MacBook Pro (with a real keyboard)

So we should write to Tim Cook and Craig about how poorly Safari and Mail remember their state? Gotcha!

Fixed for some, not for others. I haven't been experiencing this terrible memory management issue myself, my issue is mail being frozen when I get a notification and tap on it. Takes a few seconds for it to unfreeze and do my work. But only from a notification while using the phone. If I open Mail from the lock screen, there is no issue.

I already tried that, here's the response I got from Tim, I was surprised because it was a quick reply from him (his team).

Dear Stuart,

Thank you for your email regarding the current state of iOS 13, I can assure you howe

Dear Stuart,

ver, our apps are working as they should.

Sorry for the split email, damn app reloaded on me when I went to send a txt to Craig.
