I called but they never picked up either. Again, I think we will receive them the 19th, if not earlier because Apple always makes small mistakes like that LOL

Preorder 3GS Delivery Date?

I had someone pick up I told them the site said I would get it on the 19th but my email said I would get it on the 23rd (2 day air) and I was put back on hold for over and hour before I hung up. No luck but about to try again.
I was told there will be a 1-2 hour wait time at 10:30 eastern time

i think calling today and possibly tomorrow will just be a waste of time.. I know when I orderded Leopard (and used the free shipping) it arrived the day it released and apple.com had very similar wording..
anyone else NOT get a confirmation email though..when I check my order status on apple.com everything is fine.. but I didnt get an email...hmmm

Would be handy if someone figures this out. I'll gladly preorder if I can get it on the 19th, but I don't really have time to wait for it to show up middle of the next week.
I don't have work tomorrow so I will stay up and hopefully get a good answer tonight (or early in the morning after 12am eastern time). I'll post what they tell me when it happens.
I've been waiting since November for an iphone and I want to get is asap, but right now its the 23rd for me. Hopefully on the 19th it will arrive at my door. Here's to hoping the 19th comes quick along with my iphone!
STRAIGHTENED OUT FOR ME!!! I called them and they said it's a mistake and i will definitely receive it on June 19th, despite the fact it says 24th, and the guy went to speak to the manager to make sure
Mine said delivered by the 19th also but then i got an email saying by the 24th. But im sure we will get it by the 19th.
After waiting on the phone for about an hour and a half I explained to the person that online it says "Pre-order an iPhone 3G S from the Apple Online Store and it will arrive on June 19 with free shipping." I told him when I ordered it and when I got the email it said I would get it on the 23rd with 2nd day air shipping. Right after that he apologized and told me it was a mistake on the website and offered me free next day air shipping free of charge so it will arrive Monday the 22nd. He said that they were getting a lot of calls on this issue and that they were offering free next day shipping to make up for it. When I called and got through at 12 midnight eastern time I was told there were 700+ calls in the queue and they were down to around 30 calls. I was on the phone for about 5-8 minutes with him in order for him to go into my order and switch the shipping. So that is the latest I have for when I called Apple and spoke with someone. Hope it helps!

I think it is quite clear from the wording here that we will be getting our phones on the 19th...

Apple store now says that it arrives on 19th when you check out. just an FYI if anyone is still having confusion.
Since I was stupid and chose overnight delivery, I guess I should try to call them in a day or two when things calm down and have them change it to standard delivery....

after 1 hour and 45 minutes on hold (yeah, i was bored) i finally spoke with an apple support agent who was not familiar with the problem of having it say delivers on the 24th.
she said one column said ships the 19th, receive the 24th, and another that said receive the 19th. needless to say, she was a little clueless on when it would come.
she did say that she bumped my shipping (free) to next day air, and said to expect it on june 22 at the latest. so, i would call up and ask why it is saying the 24th, and if they don't offer to upgrade shipping, just ask.

The 1-800-676-2775 Option 2 for recent orders says that they are closed.....
that's the number, but they are closed now. i called earlier today, and just got to posting the outcome.

Hi all, like many of you ive orderd the 3GS and noticed it said deliverd on June 19th and the order shows by the 24th, well i just called Apple after 1 hour on hold finally talked to the rep and she told me that they must have a error in the listing because it ships on the 19th. So i updated my shipping and now it shows delivers by the 22nd.
So if you are about to order make sure you choose some other than free shipping if you want it 2 or 3 days sooner lol.. Other wise its not coming on the 19th.
Again this is based on the rep i just spoke to.

there is much confusion on this (there is another thread about) it seems to depend on the apple rep you talk to.. but the wording on apple.com suggests we will have them.. I was upgraded for free to next day shipping when I called but I bet it doesnt matter...
That picture is where I got my info from as well and I explained that it was right on the site and read it to him word for word. I was told it was a mistake on the site and he quickly offered me next day shipping for no charge. I went in and looked at my price and my shipping was set to priority and my shipping charge was 0. I does seem like a huge error, but at least they are remedying it when you call.
