Preorder 3GS Delivery Date?

next day meaning the 21st ? my shipping update was free as well but she told me the 22nd, and my order shows that as well.
 
I got my email this morning (ordered around midnight last night EST) and it says Delivers June 19th, same as in my account page when I log into the apple store.
 
+1 to typical pre-ordering scenario. Their computers have a ship date which is likely just set to release date and everything is calculated off that. These will likely all ship 2 day or something for arrival on the 19th.

I hope your right, but I'm going to expect it on the Monday the 22nd like I was told. If it does come in on the 19th I will just get to enjoy it sooner :D
 
I ordered mine yesterday as soon as the apple store was online. Everything said "Free shipping, Delivers on June 19th".

Then other pages said: Shipping Date: Delivers by June 19th

However, when I now login to the apple store to view my order status I see:
Ships: Jun 19
Delivers: Jun 24

The confirmation email I received from Apple also shows the same.

Am I good for a June 19th delivery date, or am I going to be screwed?

The shipping option I chose was the "Free" option, which was 5 day shipping. But I was lead to believe "Free shipping delivered on June 19th".
 
I also ordered it to be shipped, but received an email telling me I had to go to an Apple store to complete the purchase. What's up?
 
This sucks. I know its only a few days if they do get delivered on June 22, but it burns me up that the sales reps dont know when they are supposed to be delivered....dont you think thats going to be one of the most common questions?

Personally I think that if you chose standard shipping they will arrive on June 19 - Apple wouldnt have changed their website last night to clarify the June 19 arrival date if that wasnt the case.

But I dont know what happens if you chose overnight shipping....in that case you might get it on June 22 for all I know.
 
I did my order last night via Apple and it states on my account "delivers by June 19th" I received an email that stated the same thing "delivers by June 19th"

I didn't finagle with the shipping when I ordered, I just left it on whatever option it was on by default..
 
yah mine says delivers on the 19th too. Hopefully it was just an error and they fixed it. If they really werent going to be delivered on the 19th they woulda changed the website by now since so many people called and complained. so hopefully we all get them on the 19th!!
 
hmm mine still shows 22nd ? How did you guys have your date updated to the 19th ?

Yes I did, and I'm in no rush so if it takes a bit longer its no big deal.

I'd rather pay 0$ and wait a few days than pay 20$ and still have to wait a few days anyway.

A co-worker of mine says Apple does this a lot with pre-orders - and messes up the pre-order delivery date notification - but he says not to worry, it'll be in our hands on June 19th, its just a display error.
 
Was just about to try and reorder it to see if the delivery date was the 19th but the store is down for maintenance as of right now.

Why don't you just call to find out if you need to reorder it at all. My guess is that no matter what selection anybody chooses as far as shipping, they will ship them all out together to arrive on the 19th. The worst that happens if you select 2nd day air, you might lose $16 or so.

Then again, my company doesn't pay me to guess, so you're better off calling and finding out for sure. On that note, I just happen to work from home on the 19th....so I probably won't be getting too much work done.

I didn't have to do anything, I just left it on the default shipping option.

When you placed your order did you change your shipping option??

If you did, that may have something to do with it.. as in this thread some people were saying they picked overnight shipping and in return they got a delivery date ranging from the 22nd - 24th.

In the end though, no matter what your date says, I'm pretty confident that any pre-orders will be delivered on the 19th as it states on Apple's site..
 
Did you get the free shipping and do you mind telling me what time you ordered? I ordered around 1:30 pacific time.
 
I ordered last night, around 8:30 est. The Apple site and my email receipt both said "delivered by June 19th". I didn't change any of the default shipping settings.

If you changed the default shipping settings it may be calculating the delivery date by that.

I would tend to believe that even if it says a different delivery day, you would still get it on the 19th.

Some people were saying, they cancelled their order, went back in, left it on the default shipping selection and the new receipt and confirmation both said "delivered by June 19th".
 
I didn't change any of the default shipping, not even sure how. I don't feel like canceling and re ordering so I think I'll just give them a call when things die down. Thanks for the help guys. I feel a little better.
 
I ordered a couple hours after the keynote, did not change default shipping, and my email and the website order status says "shipping the 19th and delivering the 24th". Like others I'm assuming this is a typo. A few posts on a related thread said "this is a common problem with Apple preorders and means nothing - you'll get it on the 19th". So I'm trying not to worry about it.

I'm actually hoping it shows up on the 18th. I vaguely remember reading that this was the case with some previous Apple preorders. I'm leaving early morning on the 19th for a 1 week trip.
