so looking, they are starting to have some in stock at BB, local store has TB, "13, SG, 256gb though, I would take that but I need at least 512GB to be on the safe side.

So I have been having a best time with BB representatives about when my MacBook Pro 15in will ship. But the bright side is that I approved for the price match with Apple Student discount.
gave up on best buy, went local and got it with student discount at an Apple Store... but gonna keep my preorder to give to my brother... I hope they keep the 21st date...

When I spoke to BB reps online they said it did, but when I tried to put in my coupon code it didn't work. So I called in an a rep told me that Bestbuy did price match Apple for Student discount. He put the request in and it took a day to be approved. I should add a that a online rep told me that I could ask my local BB if they could price match. So I think it depends on who you speak to.
I just checked my order and they finally charged me and it changed to preparing! My date still says 11/21
If anyone has had theirs shipped to them. When did yours go from preparing to shipped? Also I have a get it by date of Nov. 17th. Any possibly of getting mine? I did not receive an e-mail(checked spam, etc...), do I have pretty good chance of receiving mine tomorrow? I'm in the Seattle, WA. area. Thanks!
Mine went to preparing pretty quickly. If you were getting it by the 17th it would likely have shipped and you'd have tracking by now.
you never know though..wait until am, sometimes the tracking doesn't hit until last minute.
I ordered mine on the 28th and BB canceled it for no reason. My official order date is October 29th early am. Really hoping to see this thing ship asap. I'm currently typing for a mid 2012 15" retina with a cracked screen. I love this 2012 rMBP and wouldn't consider upgrading if it wasn't for the cracked screen and the $700+ price tag to fix a 5 year old laptop!
Update.... Nothing happened...
Went to the store, they have a 15" on site, took it to the register, and were completely blocked from selling it to me. We looked at the screen together, there was absolutely no option to override, etc.....
Ended up grabbing a 13" that I'm using now. Very nice... Going to try some video editing and decide if I want to keep it or return it whenever the 15" actually gets here.

yah, I can understand, I had the same one, great machine. Bestbuy rep swears that the 21st is when Im going to get mine... but the authorization has been dropped and now I have no pending charge...

Congrats, when did you order your first best buy order? did u buy a 15inch space grey today? I'm in LA too and I had to go to Northridge to get a base space grey 15inch
I ordered in 11/6 but they emailed me late last night that it would be until Nov 20 so... yeah same with my 13 inch cause I pre ordered both just to see which one but ultimately I just went around and found my space gray one base 15 inch ands am using now its so amazing

I will say, the 13" is pretty darned snappy... Now I'm debating if the size is worth the performance tradeoff to go with the 15". The 13 really is a great size for travel.
The 15 is pretty nuts...I am getting a 13 delivered tomorrow but I am relatively confident the 15 is the way I will go. Maybe it's my tired eyes, but the overall experience of the 15, larger everything is appealing to me with the way I use my laptop (not a ton of travel with it).
More I use this laptop the more I see that Apple tested the hell out of it to make sure it was right. Even the keyboard is growing on me. I am like a Jedi warrior with this thing now. I've learned to channel the force in a way now where I am typing quieter and faster than I EVER have. TB is still something I am not sure I'd actually go out of my way to get, but given I like the 15 I have no choice. Not saying it's not really really cool just not understanding how I will use it quite yet. Cool for bookmarks and some photo editing stuff. Otherwise not sure..Once the 13 comes and I play with that I will make the final decision.
If you are editing video etc you need the 15.

I think the touch bar is going to be like keyless entry on a car. Doesn't seem like THAT big of a deal, but I have a feeling that after having it for a while we'd be hard pressed to go back to life without it...

Fed Ex playing with my emotions, they say that it'll deliver tomorrow but nothing confirmed, everything shows as only the label created and zero movement.
