Google ups my choice. Totally free. It lets you know when you have a package coming and you can presign online.
I agree. I hadn't signed up for AppleCare in advance and was going to add it. He said wait till it ships because they may end up changing the delivery date.
Yeah I am still on the fence on AC..Mainly because I havent' truly settled on the machine yet (13 or 15). I've tried the 13 (in store) now it's time to try the 15 (at home) and make the final decision.
thanks Apple for making this so effing complicated!! A demo of all the units in store would have been nice!
At this point I have 3 orders in. One for a non standard 15 and one for a non standard 13 with Apple, and one for an off the shelf 15 from BB. My credit card company called me and basically asked me if I am bipolar.
According to my receipt they require a signature by default.

I was having the same debate, but settled for the 13". I have a 15", but after using the 13" in the store, I'm good with it. More portable and the with the hires screen I am fine with losing the 2". I am coming from a 15" late 2008 MPB, which I rarely use anymore because it's so slow. I've adjusted to primarily using my iPad.
I'm coming from a 2015 12" MacBook retina so we'll see how much less portable this is.
So like... when is Best Buy going to ultimately ship the product? 11/16 is almost one day away, and mine still says "Processing."
Also, my card has still not been charged, so I'd say there's a zero percent chance of getting when it said I would (11/16).
If you aren't charged and get a delivery option tonight, then you are probably correct.
Let me specify though, it is listed as a "pending" charge on my card. Does not contribute to my card balance as of yet.
Did anyone actually get charged? All I got was a preauthorization for the amount on my credit card.
I did on my Paypal. Charge was "completed" and reduced my credit limit. Where the two I ordered from Apple are just pending since those won't be in for a month.
I think Paypal is different. Anyways, they say 16th. So if this id the case, it will have to ship out by tomorrow.
Paypal always get charged for the full amount right away, though. Credit cards if entered independently from paypal don't get charged immediately like paypal does, I believe.
Then why are the Apple charges Pending? Who knows...Anyway, I am going with the 16th!!!
I originally had a base 15" ordered from Apple with a Nov 25- Dec 2 delivery date. Canceled and pre-ordered from BB and confirmation email says delivery by 16, but my order status page says 15. No movement so probably not coming tomorrow, sadly. Hoping for a Wednesday delivery!

FYI - I did this for the iPhone 7 plus and they didnt honor pre-sign. UPS delivered on Saturday, wasn't home and I had to make arrangement to p/up at their location on Monday. ridiculous
Spoke to someone in customer service chat and they told me it's likely we'll see the status change by Tuesday or possibly the day of delivery as it's 1 day shipping. But they assured me i should still count on Wednesday for delivery. For whatever that's worth. Kinda doubting it though idk.
