Preorder from Best Buy

Just got notified by text my order shipped. BB site confirms. My UPS tracking number is provided on the site.
It's a 13" touchbar.
Man, strange launch for me. I started this thread when I placed my order with BB for 15" on Sat because I noticed the early delivery date.
I already had an order with Apple from their Government side (work) but had a 4-5 week wait on it because I just placed it last Thursday. So, I placed a separate order with BB and posted.
BUT
My Apple order shipped yesterday morning (can anyone say miracle?) and I canceled my Best Buy order at that time.
Low and behold all the 15" Best Buy orders are delayed (just like the Apple Watch 2 orders were).
So, I got very lucky all the way around.
Sorry guys, in my original post I warned I thought this could happen with Best Buy's record.

You were correct my friend! It does appear the 15s are delayed and it's possible the 13s aren't since my 13inch order is still on track and people here have received their shipment notes on 13s. we'll see I guess. I should have one by Thursday if thats the case. Still need a 15 though.

Yeah I said the same thing to the buffoon that cancelled order without me telling him to. No way I believe it would come by the 21st since this happened.
I believe it was your original post which prompted me to check out Best Buy online on Saturday and then place an order. Thanks for the heads up and I hope mine arrives tomorrow!

you're skipping apple because of BB? What are you going to get instead?
This seems silly. Yes, Best Buy delayed it by a few days but it's just a laptop. You're going to get it in a few days. Most people who ordered directly from Apple are still waiting. Yeah the other threads a mess, got convinced on the MSI with the 1060, i'll be back for another Apple product eventually but this has been frustrating to no end.
I hear ya..I am about a half an inch from getting the updated Lenovo Yoga 910. I just want to get one of these Macbooks in my house and play for a few days first. I was really impressed with the non TB Macbook 13, felt smooth as silk. I just felt it was a it small. But I feel your pain. And seriously EFF Apple since Cook took the helm. Pipeline is weak weak weak.
I cancelled my Apple order for the 15" because of the 11/16 shipping date on Best Buy. I just got an e-mail that it is delayed until the 21st. This will be my last Best Buy pre-order for anything. I have no confidence that it will come on the 21st either. Will probably check the Apple store this week to see if they have any for sale.
+1... Cancelled my Apple order and went with BB as well. Even called and chatted first and got absolutely no indication that the 16th could slip to the point that they "guaranteed" it in writing. Biggest reason I did it was to get it before I head out of country this weekend..
Should have just stuck with the Apple order and been happy to come back to it in a few weeks after the trip.
I understand its not fully in Best Buy's control, but don't make a firm commitment that you can't live up to... I'd not have a single complaint if they said "estimated delivery" from the start.
Even earlier today, an agent on the phone again promised delivery tomorrow. Then the email came out and their stories all changed. Spoke to 2 agents and a "manager" in their call center and not so much as an actual apology or any offer of good will (not that I was looking for one, but still...). Poor business practice IMO.
Should have just stuck with the Apple order and been happy to come back to it in a few weeks after the trip.

Just ordered a MacBook Pro Touch Bar 13 inch silver tonight. It stated arriving Thursday. Just checked my order now and it's preparing with a arrival date of tomorrow
Same here with pretty much all of this. Going out of town and that's the reason I cancelled my Apple order to go with BB. BB customer service last week said that they had 15" laptops and were just waiting for the street date. Today, CS told me they tracked my order and my laptop was in Seattle just waiting carrier pickup. An hour later I got the change email. Never ordering anything from BB ever again!
Decided to stop into my local Apple Store on the way home on the off chance they'd have stock. Left with the 15" base model!
They have stock of several configs in both 13 and 15 inch sizes. Window and table displays are going up after hours tonight.
If you got screwed by Best Buy, stop by your local Apple Store tonight or tomorrow and leave happy! Good luck!
wait they told you it was shipped and in a certain location then rescinded? unreal. I hate BB
Sort of. They "tracked" my order and showed it was in seattle (not sure where) and awaiting a carrier pickup. They more than likely lied just to get me off the phone. Worst customer service ever.
Mine says preparing too. Doesn't say it's arriving tomorrow though. At this point I don't trust BB, but this is further than my 15 ever got. I think there is an issue with the 15s. I would have thought more people buy the 13?
