Yahoo package tracking had mine as leaving Mount Hope a few hours ago and en route to Richmond, BC hub (to be delivered in Vancouver). Except now there's an arrival scan in Winnipeg. So now I'm thinking it's unlikely to see it make another big trip to Vancouver yet tonight.
You never know! Usually there should be another departure out of Winnipeg to arrive in Regina at around 4 a.m., from my experience with receiving UPS deliveries lately, so maybe there is one that either goes out to B.C. around that time or continues on from Regina a bit later?
I wonder if the delay to Mt. Hope was due to the crazy weather in Southern Ontario.

I guess my iPad slipped into the second batch, probably due to engraving. It is fascinating to catch a glimpse into international logistics though. Putting together the pieces with Google, Wikipedia and UPS:

Before today: I guess my order reached a cut off and resources were concentrating on getting the first North American batch out. My order sat in processing and I could change the engraving if desired.
01:00 - Engraving done and final. Order ready for shipping. I also guess that this would be the end of a 'daytime' shift as it is now early evening. Wikipedia mentions 12 hour shifts are the norm though. Grueling work!
16:40 - First thing the next morning the iPad is still in Foxxcon's factory in Shenzhen but get's its first scan into the UPS system. It sits waiting for six more hours at the factory where it's probably packed and loaded with thousands of others.
22:40 - The iPad has been loaded into a truck(?) and is traveling to Chek Lap Kok International Airport. There is either a ferry or a plane involved as the Airport is on an island.
I'm not sure where it flies to now. Mount Hope, Alaska or Memphis? ETA is still Monday by noon.

Mine has made it it Winnepeg. Now can it really make it to Whitehorse today? Purorlator delivers the UPS in Whitehorse and they will deliver late afternoon if a plane comes in around noon or so. I'm in calgary but was hoping it would be waiting at the office when I return Sunday am. Looks like my appletv might beat it via FedEx. It was in Calgary last night.
I think it may make it to Whitehorse if it's scheduled to do.
A short flight within 2 hours will make it happen

It seems that the UPS tracking process has been shunted because of the iPad, because there should have been a "Departure scan" from Concord and a transit via Lachine, QC.

Got my this morning at Future Shop (London, ON.), they had 100 and only 15 people outside by 8am. 😱, I was 2nd in line 😀

I pre-ordered my new iPad on the 7th, about 3-4 hours after the keynote ended. I opted for the engraving (not sure why), knowing that it would delay my delivery to the 19-20th.
It actually shipped on that Friday, the 9th, and arrived in Louisville, KY on the 10th (at the UPS WorldPort hub, as I've read elsewhere on this site). Unfortunately, it has sat there ever since. Hasn't moved.
The only activity I can see, via Yahoo's tracking site, has been two "Location Scans"... one yesterday morning, and another early this morning, both in Louisville. I don't know what those mean.
I had been hoping it might arrive today, but obviously that isn't going to happen if it is still in Louisville! Apple's e-mail says delivery for Monday the 19th (although there is no delivery date on the UPS tracking site).
I'm disappointed, but not overly so. I always expected it to arrive next week due to the engraving, but I had hopes that UPS might push it through early, since it has been sitting in Louisville for so long. Perhaps it is a logistics issue... maybe they can only handle the deliveries that were scheduled for today. Who knows?!
I'm very excited to receive my iPad! It will be my first one. I've had an iTouch (4th gen) for over a year and I love it. The iTouch was my first Apple product, and I'm very impressed with the quality and intuitiveness so far!

Strange, I got the arrival scan in Concord, ON at 3:15PM yesterday. It's currently 9AM the next day. Seems like their tracking is lagging behind. I'm expecting to get it today (in the Toronto area) 🙂
I hope it's behind. My last scan was an import scan in Calgary at 4:12 this morning. Still needs to take a trip north to Red Deer before its out for delivery and it's 7:12 now...
Or they might be doing evenings deliveries for this?
or arranging a special truck just for ipads ... lol! who knows!
I am in Toronto and it's sitting in concord - I am relaxed, it'll get here sometime today
